Those poor bastards who were too young to remember this.

These even poorer bastards who are only old enough to remember anything post 1999/00 season.

My first FA Cup memory was at the age of 5 watching Everton beat United in the 1995 cup final.

First City FA cup memory was the 1-1 draw with Woking 1997?

Eoin Jess last minute equaliser or did they score last minute?

Hadn't the game been called off twice before? A Saturday, midweek and was finally played on a Saturday?

On the other hand they have their years ahead of them, I was 18 in 87 and my brother was 21,
Have always thought we were at the perfect age to take the most from it.
Fantastic weekend, best I've ever had and very much doubt it will ever be topped, thank God
We did it when Wembley was the real Wembley, and football was still our game. :)

Unfortunately all their talking about on football focus today is the sutton game in 89. I remember being there and thinking we had hit an all time low but little did I know what would happen 20 plus years later

Is that the same Sutton that knocked out former cup winners Coventry City out the FA Cup in 1989?
Yes ! it's the same Sutton that lost the next round 8-0 v Norwich.

The same Norwich we beat the next week 2-1 at Carrow Road, with Speedie scoring that wonder chip.

Its weird how there can be a sequence of results like that Sutton beat us, Norwich beat Sutton, we beat Norwich.
I would rather we had beaten Sutton and lost to Norwich just so it wasn't brought up and shown every time the FA Cup comes round each season.

Not really weird , wrong attitude , tight ground , thought they just had to turn up etc . home to Norwich , right attitude etc - hence home win .

That would be called the law of sod if we drew them having scraped through tomorrow

id take that, it would mean we are into round 3. Tomorrow wont be easy at all and we will do well to be in the draw for 3rd round

Oh I see so they aren't talking about Luton (non-league) at the time beating Norwich (Premier League) a couple of years back and thus removing that record from us?

I'm just glad we are still seen as big enough for this result to be seen as a shock.

I went to both our high and low FA Cup moments. I was at Wembley that day, I was 21 and I was at the Sutton game too.

Hoping we can get past Cambridge today, sure we can.
