BPA - Back On? (13 Viewers)

The funniest thing about this is all the posters who didn't give a shit about CRFC when it was suggested that they could go up the BPA instead of Sixfields, then did give a shit about CRFC when Wasps rolled up now all of a sudden don't give a shit about CRFC again because they're wishing SISU of all people on them. You couldn't make it up.

That's before you even get into the problems that will probably stop it happening in the first place not least of all some people think SISU will find a way to fund it. Pull your heads out of the sand people.

You've made up the entirety of that post. I think most of us think about any proposed sharing of the BPA as being about benefit to the club not about benefit to SISU.

While you're on Tony, what's your answer? I've asked Captain Dart when he talks about strategies and coherent plans? What do you think it should be? You same to be able to write off ideas but what are your own?

Cheers for that.

Interesting he did clearly say 15k, but not 25 as too big at present, but would have the potential to be extended to 25k if needed.
Errrmmmm He does NOT say "Too big at present." He does however say potential to be 25k, but thats too big.

Errrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm no, it says with the potential to increase to 25K.

So if it was too big at present as you like to point out in bold writing, it could still be increased to 25K. You do understand what 'having the potential to do' means?

Errrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm He says 25k is TOO BIG Meaning I would guess that anything bigger than 15k will be blocked by CRFC.

Well you did just make it up, I bet you couldn't name one person who ticks all those boxes. CRFC would have no obligation whatsoever to get into bed with current or future owners unless on their own terms or for their own benefit.

What's the sand like down there?

#When it says architects plans have been drawn up, and that potentially it could be a 25k stadium, it suggests to me it could be a 25k stadium.

I will agree with you there.

If it means by getting this inept ground it will speed up SISU selling up then I am all for that but I just don't see it happening.

Maybe it won't. I just don't see staying where we are - whether with SISU or not - is good for the future of Coventry City as Wasps are desperate for the revnue themselves , they will never sell any of it on to anyone else.

Who are all those people then Tony? all those that didn't give a shit about CRFC?

What are all the problems that will stop it happening? as I am sure Jon Sharp is more knowledgeable and tuned in to the cost and planning issues than you will be. You mention SISU, but all I read is that this is a CRFC plan and they are in control.

So we could end up renting a smaller ground with less revenue opportunity than we have now. That's progress for you.

Do you know what the plans are? do you know what the deal is? Do you hell.

Why not wait to see what the finer details are before pissing all over the idea. People moan enough that the club aren't making any plans for a ground, and then they make some and people like you just whine.

You don't even know what the planned ground would be, I bet you didn't bleat when we were in the Premier League at Highfield Road when the capacity was 23K.

Its not my grand ideal, but we are where we are, and the Ricoh will never be ours, but still don't let that stop you on the moaning.

I'm telling Sisu now that 15.000 max ground at the BPA does not satisfy fans aspirations.
I want people to ask Sisu for a plan rather than feeding off TF comments and running with them.
I'm seeing people feeding off bullshit from TF and not getting him pinned down on things.
I'm watching Wasps move on without us while Sisu play silly games.
TF on Friday will just talk what fans want to here but not give out any facts.
I'm seeing fans on here hanging on his every word in desperation.
This thread is typical of a little bit of TF bullshit turning into the future for CCFC.

“We would be looking at 15,000 seats or above looking at the football club gates and what they would get if they went up a league.

“But I don’t want the rugby club to be rattling around in too large a stadium.”
It doesn't sound like he's ruling out 25k to me. I think it's a sensible approach. Still can't see it happening.

So on 'facts' are you stating that there is less revenue potential? What are our current revenues?

Were you another like Italia that moaned when we had a 23k capacity at Highfield road, when we were in the Premier League.

FFS! I'm not arguing the fact it has the "Potential to be 25k" I've even put in my "Two pennuth" by suggesting turning the ground round by 90 degrees to accomodate 25k easier (Is that right Stupot07). I'm arguing that CRFC owner (Mr Sharp) has been quoted as saying 15k max and no chance of being extended to 25k. Got it now?

No announcement from anyone just wild speculation from the CT and upped a level on here.

In the rare event that they actually inform fans of their plans for the club does anyone think CRFC or in fact anyone will want to be partners with SISU?

Great well reasoned argument Tony. Why don't you answer his post like an adult?

Name any names yet?

"You couldn't make it up, could you"?

Wrong with the facts again.

Architects plans were previously drawn up for a 25k ground. Do you know what the current plans are? are you one of CRFC's architects? are you on the panning committee? No, so why you quit bitching and wait to see what the plans are instead of frothing about facts that aren't even known yet.

I don't give a fuck about Fisher whilst you whine on about him, but I do care about CCFC. Sorry if that is distasteful to you, perhaps you should try it.

That 23k capacity at HR and being "All Ticket" nearly lost the fanbase, but lets not think about that eh?

I write off the BPA or any other ground development for one reason and one reason only. SISU. If you can't see it's never going to happen for that reason alone you're beyond help. The last nine years of their ownership has clearly taught you nothing. They're a demolishing company not a building company who's only interest is SISU not CRFC or CCFC.

Exactly but maybe the new owners if they indeed happen.

So surely the fact it'd be led by CRFC would give you hope...?

Yes I got it that you argued with yourself about the 15k capacity. I pointed out it has been designed with the potential for 25k, you didn't agree now you do. That's good. Got it now?

Yawnnnnnnn, You go off on one about HR being 23k...... That 23k Capacity nearly lost our fanbase... WTF would a 15k capacity do?

Yawnnnnnn, Your having a laugh, it rarely sold out. I was a season ticket holder throughout, were you from Cardiff? and I can tell you even the Robbie Keane season we couldn't fill it.
Go get some facts....

I think you're fucking nuts mate, had your meds yet?... I've always said if BPA ground share was a "Goer" I was all for it. I said with the proviso of a minimum 25k capacity. I also said by turning the ground 90 degrees it should just about accomodate 25k. I've also quoted Mr sharp(Owner of CRFC) saying 15k max no chance of 25k, wether there is any fucking potential of it being 25k is irrelevant!

Quality post Tony, exactly as anticipated.
