it's not dead but has to be seen as being on life support with a grim prognosis.
best case scenario it just survives relegation this season.
fisher wasn't able to provide anything positive that you could feel confident in believing in for the future of the club.

There is lot of ill feeling and plain bullshite on here tonight, let me frame the situation as I see it, we are not dead , we are not performing on the pitch , we have clueless management and a very young inexperienced team. No stadium as such, there is still a Football league club CCFC and irrespective of what league we are in I will support the team I have for many years.
I have no agenda or favour but just want to see the team I support get through this which they will .

You can't kill the support even if you kill the club.

Tell that to the thousands that have turned their backs on the Club.:(

You can't compare supporting a football team with going out for a meal.

People don't sing harvester till they die either.
Eating at Harvester isn't really like going out for a proper meal, just like supporting
Coventry City isn't really like supporting a proper football club.
So Yeah, Good Comparison .

A long cry from 300k isn't it?

Norwich, Leeds and Leicester got what in League 1 and how many people in their cities?

It doesn't mean the club is dead does it?
Nick people talk about population because that's your potential fan base, obviously not
Everyone will like football, but that's the pool of people you have in your immediate
Location, it's up to you to coax them in.
It's why the places with the largest populations tend to get the most support, obviously
Other factors come into play in some instances.

Spot on. SISU may have given up hope, many fans may have given up hope but depressing as it is right now I'll never give up hope.

i'm with you. nor have I. CCFC will live on, but maybe in a different guise

We are in the minority ( I wont mention the population)

They will return when it turns around.

The aim is to plod on without the club costing anything. A turnaround would be a fluke. We are being run along the lines of a small town club. We will be attracting the crowds of a small town club as there is no connection with most of the potential fans in the city. Advertisers gain nothing by association with this toxic brand and firms can hardly do themselves any favours by renting hospitality suits. Tim just kept saying he was sorry to the callers who said they weren't going to renew their season tickets. He needs to increase crowds and get people behind him. The club has to reach out - where is the new Commercial Director? No one asked him that. I would have thought that was a priority.

Why would you think that should be a priority?

If the aim is to plod along as self sufficient then you need revenue. Someone should be marketing the product and selling the advertising, STs and hospitality Suites.

Tim is just saying sorry and if sales go down I'll cut the budget.

There won't be a budget to cut without sales.

If City go under I would support a Phoenix club. If Fisher is to be believed tonight, they have no inclination to let the club go. Status in the pyramid doesn't seem to matter to them so long as they lose no money.

If that is the case - then he should step aside as chairman and let us have an independent local figure to oversee the club.

SISU put zero in and take zero out, and as a club we keep every penny we can make. If fans were confident that the money they spend directly went to the club and nowhere else then people may be prepared to do so.

It's obviously a massive 'if' and SISU have no form for sticking to their word.

They also can't kill the club worst case scenario administration eventually.
Then we finally rise!!!!

I'm referring to him attacking me because I watch Wasps. Totally irrelevant to this thread.
TF attacks fans and he is doing exactly the same.
I can't go along with all the Sisu/TF crap but he seems to defend it with personal attacks.

May be wrong but I seem to recall italiahorse holds a S T ( stand to be corrected on that) but if he decides to watch to watch Wasps as well so be it as for attacking fans where?
Yes, Block 20 since day 1 at the Ricoh.
Attacking fans for going ? No I'm attacking people on here treating Wasps fans as 'Cretins' in an attempt to justify their argument.
Sisu (include TF in that) don't care about fans, they only care about keeping the club at breakeven until 'something' happens. Obviously from Fishers comments, its fans fault and if they vote with their feet he just cuts the budget.

Is the club dead? I would say the club as it existed from 1963 is arguably dead as SISU have made it clear through Fisher that they have zero ambition for the club as a footballing entity and it merely represents a vehicle to return revenue to their investors. Therefore the club as a competitive footballing force as we know it has been killed off and what remains is a shell which will tumble down the divisions into obscurity as it will be forced to cut back on expenditure to deliver a return for SISU's investors following ever diminishing revenues. I am slowly coming to the view that as they are refusing to break their malevolent stranglehold, the only alternative is to start a rival club in the city preferably with an investor behind it - Hoffman, Keys, whoever - so the rival club can sail through the non-league divisions quickly and get to a position where it overtakes the SISU outfit as soon as possible. A depressing scenario but it seems the only way out of this if they refuse to go.

Have always had this thought since the return, to fully benefit from a) the fans
b)the business community and c)any local partners we rely on to deliver facilities etc.
Like OSB am forming the opinion that the trust offer Irked him to such an extent that he now is working to an agenda that guarantees it is him who gains some benefit.
I'll go further and suggest that he was pleased to see CA wander off.
With comments such as "we've retired that shirt "and"back in the cockpit behind the controls ".
Just sense a bit of relish there.

It's where you and me differ. I go alone and sit alone. It's all about the football and nowt else.

You can therefore see why I am not at all keen on renewing as it stands.

It's not a social thing for me. It's all about going to watch my club with hope in my heart and a belief each season that we can make a fist of it and challenge at the right end of the table.

The thought of going now to an empty stadium, sitting by myself hoping we stay out of the bottom 4 is not going to exactly fill my boots unfortunately.
Come and sit next to me mate!

Listening to Tim Fisher on the radio it's a case that whilst CCFC are in existence SISU do not have a loss of £70 million and its swills around their budgets lines like a bad smell and an incovenience to them. However if the club goes tits up then they have a problem in how to manage away that money from the accounts
To which the investors will start to pull their investments away from the hedge fund! hence the reason the club is being managed on a cash flow model. As Tim Fisher said his remit as a chairman is to oversee that the company runs without life support and is self financing and SISU will just leave him alone.
The only good solid income CCFC have got are players and the supporters and we could sell all our players over the next 10 years and still not make dent in the £70 million! (They had their chance with Henderson etc but blew it) So and I am afraid without our support the budgets going forward will get reduced which then reflects on what type of player we can afford (youngsters and journeymen in the twilight of their careers) . I personally find it hard to keep going up but I am a lifelong season ticket holder and its in my blood to support the CCFC . Everyone has a right of choice I know but if we turned this on its head and we could get the disaffected supports back we can effect the budget and therefore effect the playing standards on the pitch which would save the club from certain demise. I don't know about the Phoenix effect I think we are more like the ever diminishing bird that flies to the height of 20,000 feet and descends in ever diminishing circles and eventually flies up its own backside before it ever hits the ground.i shall watch todays results and watch CCFC hit the bottom of the table , I am so sad about it all

I have very little idea about the financial side of business but I have thought something like that for some time.
At the moment the club is a 70 million asset on a balance sheet which is practically worthless, if they dump it they have a 70 million loss to explain.

For the first time Iam actually worried that with TFs model we may slip out of the top 4 tiers of English football. Never really believed it before, but under our current management, you actually feel that the first thing that would happen if we go down to L2 would be how to 'balance the books', not how do we rebuild a team to get promoted. And if we go down, season tickets will be really hard to push.
This is absolutely true. Listening to Fisher saying this last night, I just started wondering what the point of the club's existence was.

Any other club in the Football League has ambitions to get promoted, at least at the start of every season. Even teams in the Premier League who have no hope of winning it want to be the best they can and perhaps qualify for Europe. (Then there's Leicester!!) But not CCFC, apparently. Their sole aim is to exist and make a small profit, no matter what happens on the pitch, and if that is in National League North, so what!

So while the club is still technically 'alive', it is like the owners are simply letting it exist on a life-support machine and refusing to switch it off because while it breathes there is some income to be derived from it. Fisher made it quite clear that CCFC has no playing ambition whatsoever, it is all about a balance sheet. After that last night, I'm sure we have no hope whatsoever.
