Investment on the Horizon? (24 Viewers)

Highly unlikely

The club has one operating loan of £2 million from what I can see. It would have to have had a cash injection of circa £10 million to get that level of budget.

Furthermore they have signed 5 players only for this season - one ome, from Lincoln for a fee.

T/O for 15-16 was in the region of 4m+, and player’s salaries are given as 2.5m (bearing in mind that TM was working with a ‘playing budget’ that includes all on-field costs in addition to player’s wages). Player salaries under FFP are 60% of T/O plus any injection (i.e. not simply 60% of T/O from income plus injection). Therefore a straightforward injection of 3m or so would bring you to 6m – won’t know this until we see the final year accounts.

The SCMP doesn't include loans. An injection of capital has to be outright gift or the issue of shares for cash.

The SCMP includes more than players wages, it includes any agents fees, transfer fees in and out, all other employment costs. On the other side any incomes included are net of any direct costs.

Was TM managing the whole budget (which is a different one to the SCMP one) ..... thought that was MV overseen by fisher and Sisu

Bottom line is that the SCMP player budget is not a simple calculation of turnover x 60%, and it doesn't include loans

Ours seems to sit at 40% for the last two or three years
What I find odd is that our club salaries appear around £2M more than Walsalls Yet I think they run a Cat2 as well, why such a disparity?

Also if that injection last season hadn't been made were we exceeding SCMP,
Was that a loan or injection?

Would seem we were certainly short of cash. However the short term loan would not rectify the SCMP. It was the sale of Madison and the actual cash received in the year to 31/05/16 that did that. The loan wouldn't count for SCMP

I don't believe those numbers in the accounts come close to the salaries of the team, a few coaches and backroom staff - we must be paying a big chunk somewhere else in "salaries" . Otherwise, as you say, it doesn't add up. The club breaks even; even after paying £x for consultancy is my guess.

But I repeat they signed only 4 or 5 players this summer....

Agree it wouldn't seem to account for the difference, and as I said was simply a claim on Talksport. Would say they've a healthier budget than ccfc, however.

That's from nearly 13 years ago mate. He could have multiplied his net worth by 20x since then, or he could be broke. ;)

Probably the latter

That's a bit hasty, the life coach Mark Sephton said we will get an announcement of the take over before Christmas, although he didn't say which year

Mark septic is chatting shit like the rest. Deserves hounding out and calling him out on it. He hasn't been on twitter for 5 days.

To be fair he has 4 days to give us this takeover news. Then I will call him a twat

His address is on his website, so a personal visit might be in order, it wouldn't surprise me if he is Timmy's life coach

Every day I come on here hoping to see a new thread titled "Sisu Gone." It is a bit like when we were at Northampton, I would be looking for the thread "Back to the Ricoh" which eventually happened. At the start of that season there were lots of rumours circulating saying that talks were taking place etc. I am sure there were even tweets from Connor Thomas' dad saying we were going home but still nothing seemed to happen. I hope this is the same sort of scenario where rumours circulate and eventually there is that glorious headline, "Sisu Gone".

I'd settle for Fisher has gone, he's the architect of all this. A new broom could make a big difference and convince Sepalla there's other ways.

With this appointment it looks like SISU remain till at least the end of season unfortunately.
Still he might well keep the club up if there is a reasonable budget.
Its sad this is what its come to, survival in Div 3 is the aim. :(

Sad we are employing a very good manager with experience in the league we currently play in? Would you rather we hadn't employed anyone so you could hold on to your belief than SISU were going to suddenly just disappear?

Never had the belief SISU were about to sell but it was an outside bet wasn't it, there were rumours and its a good appointment isn't it?

Yes, it is a good appointment so no need to be "sad".

how is this appointment in any way bad or negative news ? We look to finally have man who knows league one, and will know how to work with a league one budget.

For one day, lets just be happy at something positive happening at ccfc.

Ambition being only survival in D3 is the problem, not the decent manager, I think he might save the club from relegation . Please read more carefully.

so Slade till June
if there was a new investor - what pay off do you think that would involve - not a lot
And if Malaka has real news, and not trying to Thai us in knots -then a 50k pay off would not be the make or break of the deal
In fact they may be happier having somebody in now to steady the ship

Sadness is mainly about the relegation situation not the appointment.

Well, why not save that until we are relegated and not with half the season to go?

WE just need to survive and by the end of January we'll have a good idea if we can, virtually halfway through the season now and I've seen nothing to frighten me teamwise other than us.
