He made certain basic points

1. The club statement was appropriate and had to be done. Yes this is correct. The club has a duty to prevent invasion onto the pitch during games. Failure to do so again would have severe consequences for the club. Already a fine will be forthcoming. It is unlawful and the club have to act.

2. People were frightened by the protest. He is correct on this. There were some who felt the atmosphere was intimidating. A couple near me looked visibly shaken. I didn't - I thought it was funny - but some didn't.

3. People shouldn't chant "sisu out" as its detrimental. Well, I don't see it having a negative impact. Freedom of speech providing within the law is not a problem. Players should not be distracted. I don't think stopping games is a smart move but chanting and banners go on in several venues.

4. The invasion led to the team conceding a goal. No one has a crystal ball do they so no one can answer. Delays happen - a player could have had a bad injury - the timing was unfortunate but no one knows.

Managers and owners may be put off - his opinion. Not managers I suspect at all. Potential buyers may view as negative but it's all opinion. Nothing massively controversial.

It's his view. I agree with some bits and not others. Still he attends and deserves to give an opinion on these matters without ridicule or insults - does he not?

On point 2 specifically, factually correct. I noted a couple of children leaving with parents visibly upset. I'm assuming the atmosphere inside the ground was the cause unless they'd been whacked for asking if they could come again.
Perhaps Mr Chambers was following on from Tim's comments in which he too drew on the fact that youngsters were upset. Can't really argue with it, but then there is generally a toxic atmosphere around the club. Parents taking their children to the ground do so in the knowledge that some idiot nearby might kick off. I might want to shout at Tim Fisher from the comfort of my seat opposite but if a young child is near me I need to account for this before deciding what level of ferocity I employ.

Crack on then, maybe if anybody abuses anybody and says things about going to games they should have their personal details posted and something put up by their house to show them where they live? They can then have 3 or 4 people approach them?

Bob Latchford sits on here hammering people for going to games etc, but I wouldn't want people turning up at his house about it to leave things to show him they know where he lives or 3 or 4 blokes approaching him and then wondering why he looked a bit worried. That would be unfair (Bob is an example).

Still, no doubt it's just people with their morals and principles who think it's great.

What I cannot relate to is the next texter who said season ticket holders are the problem. I have been for the last 10 years and will continue to be a season ticket holder until this club dies regardless of any protest. Supporting the team comes first and going to the games is the reason we are all here.

It's amazing there isn't as much outrage at the bloke blaming season ticket holders.

It's quite funny really, just goes to show if you shout SISU out you can do what you want and anybody who disagrees is fair game. Have you noticed we are going lower each year? Have you noticed that once the training ground is sold we have nothing but a golden share that has no value, players worth hardly anything if anything at all and the name CCFC.

If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, football matches can be intimidating for children & adults alike at any game.

I've seen some of the clips on YouTube etc. and it did look a little aggressive in the stands at time, prior to the pitch invasion.

I never mentioned anyone's name or was directing my opinion at anyone on my original post on this topic. I was talking generally about guys like him who are open, loud and normally controversial to create a reaction.

If you think it's wrong he gets a reaction by a physical or verbal means, I understand and agree about his house visit. But if true at NTFC, he stood and ridiculed anyone for not going in then he is looking for reaction and should expect problem in what was a very emotional period. This same feeling is coming back, lots of anger, frustration and bitterness to those who decide going is the right decision to make.

They had just hit the post twice and had one (or was it two?) cleared off the line. They had come back strongly late on and looked like winning it. The pitch invasion was more likely to have broken their momentum, but that reckoned without our schoolboy defending from the restart.

I've spoke to loads of people who think we were on top before the pitch invasion mostly people who watched on tv. I completely disagree, we were on the ropes and the break should have helped us. I guess we'll never know whether they would have scored if the pitch invasion didn't take place

There was no disputing that Sisu will hold onto the club for as long as they like,no disputing that they have no regard for the primary purpose of its existence, to bring joy and excitement to the people of Coventry and Warwickshire. ( yes, I know that doesn't often happen). To them our club is an object, a thing that they will hold onto for as long as they can see it being of benefit to them ( no one else), and then they will discard it. I think the protests are about the very future of this club, not about crap games, teams or managers or league position. So in my view not scaremongering at all.

yep, but despite all that, despite the fact that crowds have gone from 20,000 plus down to 7 or 8,000, they're still here and are now achieving their main aim, to make the club at worse break even or perhaps even turn a profit.
That suggests to me that falling revenue matters not one jot to them as long as they can keep cutting and keep out of the red.

Not true, NOPM will not damage the club while 8K-9K still go, but once you go down to say 4K-5K, the none movable outgoings will be too great to sustain. There will come a point when SISU will have to start funding it and they won't like that.
