Remember 4 years ago ? relegation year, we clambered out the bottom 3 with 6 games to go having sold regular scorer Jukewicz woeful Waggott said we are hopeful of getting a striker "through the door" did we ? no, and down we went. Any hope of staying up imo revolves round getting a decent centre forward in, we have some unexpected money coming in from the checkatrade will Fisher allow some for that much needed forward, somehow I doubt it, he's happy with relegation I believe based on league 2 players get league 2 wages.

I'm gonna be brave here, or foolish but bare with me......
We need a striker... as we look doomed with one, and yes we've just had a few small windfalls in the trophy with potential for a memorable day at Wembley too and another sizeable cash prize.
Here's the catch 22....
a business model is failing in our loyal eyes... the product on the pitch is not adequate to even keep most loyal supporters the NOPM protests, talk of further boycotts or just plain I'm not happy with the product you get for your fee... so I'm not enjoying it, I'll leave it thanks and go as an when....
Do you as a business invest the newfound cash injection and really fight for survival with games on your side, Wembley insight and try and show the fans you care and relegation is really unthinkable or do you bank the cash for next season when most are openly telling the clown who's helping destroy this club fisher that they are not returning bringing a much less income stream for the 17/18 season when we could very well be a league two side with one of the smallest budgets in the league.
To most of us it's a no brainier... RS needs a cash boost to purchase a striker to give us hope, however I think we well be looking for that special loan to try and save us still.
Ps, don't shoot!

I'm confused.

You talk of needing a striker and then say 'don't shoot.'

Maybe we should all shout shoot at sixfields tomorrow...

Payet has sealed his move to Marseille. I wonder if that will trigger the Hogan sale to West Ham and Brentford move for Stevenson?

Too true Steve82, we need a nasty footballing bastard and Stevenson will be ruined if he stays here atm, countdown to window closure is on...will anyone come in and change our season...I very much doubt it...bloody depressing isn't it !

Slade says he is looking.

Hope he is looking a lot harder than Tony Mowbray did.

If you're looking for canal based puns, then there is nothing more realistic right now than any half decent player not wanting to touch us with a barge pole.

There is going to be a lot of anger at 11pm tomorrow, I can just see it. The club will find a way to piss people off even more. Stevenson sold at 10:59pm with no time to bring in a replacement has my bet.

That's fine though. We have more than enough quality for the battle ahead.

Three trialists in the U23 game right now.

Either that or CCFC have fucked their grammar and shit up again. Anyone down there and know who he/they could be?

Uhh, is it me, or does he look like he's just pissed himself, literally?

Perhaps he's an overseas player, unaware of the shit-pit of CCFC, and someone just told him who he's trialling for...

We need someone who can break up play and tackle. If he can do that he might be a good call.

True, but how many CMs do we have now?

Will be a Stevenson replacement, but what about Reilly, Bigi, Rose, Gadzhev etc.

Ghadzhev has been poor. Discount him. Rose isn't really a CM. He's not really anything to be honest.

Bigi can play a few different roles, but yeah, Reilly is more defensive minded for sure.

Just weird how managers always act like this, like Mowbray last season with his trialist wingers and then gathering strikers.
