Its a perfectly valid question. Who says they were behind it?
Even if they didn't plan/organise the pitch invasions, can't come out in the press afterwards handing out (one of nicks favourite ones) back slaps to people that did it. Then when more fans do the same (expecting FTJHW to throw them a bone and rub their tummy), distance themselves from it as though it wasn't their doing.
Directly or not, you can't give 500 morons a whistle and tell them to blow it for 90 mins and expect them to not do the same next week. You can't deny the Bolton whistling as your doing when it was you who gave the whistles out two weeks prior.

Just like Gerry Adams always swore he was just a politician and had nothing to do with the Provos, nobody believed him. And just because he didn't pull the trigger to kill the soldier, he more than played his part in it!

I don't know if this has been covered in this thread (can't be arsed to read it), but why do we have the Jimmy Hill Way when we already have the Trust?

Are we going to have a People's Front of Judea to go with the Judean People's Front?

He stayed because the bids were rejected didn't he?

I call that window more successful than people were expecting. We just needed a target man though.

Do you think that the players in will significantly improve the team? I thought the guy from Derby who made his debut on Saturday looked useful. I think Beavon will be more effective than Sordell ( although it might have been nice to get the former without having to lose the latter) Clarke looks okay but nothing special. The others that I have seen don't inspire confidence. That's not a swipe at Slade because he has an impossible task. ( However how can he persist with the current tactics without a target man?)
The point is to "big up" Fisher for this transfer window is unbelievable. First because the transfer window was hardly inspiring and secondly Fisher has no defence because of what has happened to this club while he has been in charge.

probably think that the trust are ineffective so a more shouty group appeared..

He should go simply because his PR skills are appalling.

He might be approachable when you talk to him face to face but his public stuff is condescending and patronising and unsympathetic.

Who has bigged up fisher for the transfer window? Has anybody said "you know what tim, fucking well done for this transfer window you have done a good job this window". I can't remember seeing anybody that has, so where's that come from?

It's too hard to say if they are an improvement over the other loanees until they get a few games to do their stuff.

Slade will need to change his tactics away from a target man else it is his fault.

Those speakers said a lot of things. He said to distance from any protests, 5 minutes later Moz was going on about going down to London to give Joy a valentines present and that CJ was organising the coach.

There are people on here who are always happy to at least be constructive with criticism rather than just straight up abuse. There's a lot of difference between the 2.

If you take the meeting last week about fan ownership, you were straight in with negative comments. You would be one of the people the Pompey Trust guy was on about.

He would probably also see that I am constructive with things wouldn't he? Maybe he wouldn't be so quick to disregard other people's opinions when they are constructive.

Strange how you are only clinging onto that comment that he made, but ignoring that our trust ignored them within minutes.

Well yep.

He knew what was needed when he came in and the fact that he even played Andy Rose up there showed clear intent of his game plan.

Thing I don't get is, surely you draw up a target list.

Number 1 choice -

2nd choice

3rd choice

4th choice

Seems to me (or at least appears) that Slade had a target, that fell through and he then scratted around trying to find a Premier club who would loan him a striker.

I simply cannot believe that Folivi was second choice after the first deal fell through.

Completely agree with that Nick.

No class.

I had same opinion of the trust.

For a bunch of so called intelligent supporters why don't they get the nuance of the City situation.

Just SISU bashing for Sisu bashing sake.

Calling for Fishers head because of transfers during window?

We've brought in 4 players (with others on trial) that have enhanced the squad and not sold any of our talented youngsters for a pittance.

Admittedly I'd have loved a new proven striker (so would every other club!)

But How do you can call that a failure-god only knows!

What does it say in that Fisher did well?

This is what I don't get, you have just completely tried to make out he is congratulating fisher because he isn't going absolutely mental. He also says he would have liked a striker.

The same as how Willis only didn't go because of personal terms.

Surely a good way would be to try and create a bit of unity then?

I'll await a reply about a telegraph petition and everybody being united with everything they do or say because somebody signed somebody else's petition.
It's gone too far for that I'm afraid, I don't go to trust meetings and an not a member of any other fans groups. I go to matches now because that's what I've done since I was four years of age, I'm now in my sixties how long I've got left I don't know, when I say city till I die I mean it. Some may say by going I support Sisu what they say doesn't matter to me. Up to now I cared about fan unity, now does it matter anymore?
Telegraph petition? 20000 signed it that means over 300000 people just in Coventry didn't. Just like up to 2 million have signed the anti Trump petition but the other 58 million people in this country haven't they mean nothing. The sooner that people realise that nothing will unite the fans the better oh and if they were 100 percent United then what.

Don't you notice that people get on when they talk about CCFC and not politics though? That's why things should maybe be Pro CCFC for a change to bring people together.

And who is going to say you are supporting SISU? Thats the shit that causes most of it. This is what the trust and protest groups should be trying to cut out.

Fan unity is a load of old bollocks. I haven't any real affiliation to any of you and I don't really care what any of you do.
I don't even like the majority of people anyway, arseholes. So why should that change just because a few of you are stupid enough to support the same shit team as I do.

I see it as not calling each other pricks rather than cuddling and all that! The lite version of fan unity.

I'm still waiting for CJ to provide me with the Trusts statement disapproving of Wasps moving 95 miles. I've said it before the trust are not fit for purpose. They don't take feedback on board unless it's what they want to hear. They wouldn't call the council out or Wasps, which lot of fans want to happen. It's all just about bashing SISU, which is fine. They are not the only problem though. The trust has 3000 members but we have attendances of 8000. Why are the other 5000 not members? It's universally agreed SISU are shit. Universally agreed we should have an active involvement. Why are the trust not attracting more members? Why is talking to the club about a takeover they can't afford more important than building the membership up?

But the thing is Zack, nothing else is going to matter unless we get rid of sisu. Everything else can go on the back burner.
I hate that wasps are here, I hate the CCC for selling them the lease, I have my doubts that the CC will reach out to new owners in the spirit of a new found co-operation with the club and may will disagree with that but it's all pretty much irrelevant anyway at the moment.
We need a change of ownership or a massive u turn from them in the way they run the club, then we can concentrate on the other issues/battles/ bun fights.

Why does anything need to go on the back burner? Is there a list to go back to in a few years?

He is saying he doesn't understand the criticism of Fisher when we have "enhanced" the squad. Clearly a matter of personal opinion, but have the changes enhanced the squad to such an extent it will make a difference? Only one addition to the team after the abject showing on Saturday when all other new players were their to play their part. I don't feel greatful to Fisher for this transfer window and that includes the fact that no major young player was sold. If we retain the services of Stevenson, Harries etc into next season and start to build a team around them, maybe something will have changed. I don't think it will happen, do you?
I thought Willis could not agree personal terms but maybe wrong. Doesn't really change the argument.

It changes your point about Willis only staying because of personal terms and just backs mine up about so much confusion and shit said to get people worked up.

Exactly!

It's because most arguments on here are because people don't read properly anymore.

That's very true - there's a definite band of people who either lack ability to comprehend or read selectively.

Tiny minds. You will be branded a sisu lover though for this thread.

You complained about the Trust's comments calling for Fisher to reisign because of a poor transfer window. You then comment on how the transfer window has enhanced the team, but then somehow you are not defending Fisher?

You are right, my reading skills are not what they need to be.

And you called me out for being disrespectful to JH family and haven't yet given me an explanation for how or why?

so what is arguing about wasps going to achieve now?
They've got the lease, arguing among ourselves about wasps isn't going to achieve anything. I hate them being here, and the length of the lease was an act of spite as far as I'm concerned but how is arguing about wasps going to help pull CCFC out of the mire?

Or are you just annoyed because you haven't got a lot to be annoyed about?

The Trust, despite appearances, aren't a protest group. They're..well..a trust. That's a specific organisation with certain rules that allows it certain positions like joining supporters direct IIRC. There can be only one trust (like highlander).

JHW are a protest group. Of which we've got a million.

Read the post above. I would disagree.
I comment on here because it is a discussion about something that both you and I love, Coventry City. There are times when people write things that irritate me or that I completely disagree with. Some things you write I agree with. Lots that you write I don't. I am sure that you see things the same. I don't write things to get anyone worked up as They are my own opinions for people to agree or disagree with. As I have said to you before, I think people have minds of their own and make up their own views on things. The way I look at it, and I accept that I may be wrong, is that most people are worked up, myself included, because they can see what Sisu have done to something they love. They are not worked up because someone else has convinced them to be.
I may be wrong about Willis, not sure. You seem to be saying I made it up to get people mad. If I wanted to be a rabble rouser I think that there are a lot more things I could focus on than this to get people angry. My comments are in good faith, what I truly believe and are there for others to take or leave, comment on or not. There is no ulterior motive.

so people protest on the pitch It is called wrong , so others protest via a newspaper article it is wrong , please someone tell me what is acceptable way to protest that is effective , and don't bother saying email him FFS.
People can protest however they want, IMO they shouldn't be breaking the law and / or disrupting games. There's obviously grey areas, technically the pig protest was disrupting a game but the type of protest and timing is fine as far as I'm concerned and a world away from chucking smoke bombs on the pitch in the middle of a match.

The key word in what you've said is effective. For a protest to be effective it has to impact SISU not CCFC.

He's annoyed (like most people are) because the CET an FTJHW said he has to bash SISU and be really annoyed at the same time.
