Afternoon delight by The Starland vocal band,Reminds me of my youth in that hot summer of 76!
Just before the Great punk Explosion!
Ah the Summer of 76, jogging around delivering milk on the weekends, the excellent Joan Armatradings Love and Affection ringing out from the van and the Sun beating down. Followed by a couple of Cold Lagers in Canley Club as we finished.

I was a mere 1yr old in 76, but I was born in a house three doors down from the Canley Club.

Just been listening to some David Gray albums. Really like the guy. 'Bout time he released some new stuff. Been a while now.

Wish peeps would stop saying how young they were in such and such a year!! Makes me feel ancient!! Jeez! I'd been married and had my 2nd kid by '76! :emoji_older_man:
You wouldn't be interested in buying a slightly soiled Stannah Stairlift would you? :joyful::joyful:

Heard the brilliantly emotive Sunshine on Leith tonight.
That and their cover of My Old Friend the Blues give them a different flavour to their more Stompy anthemic hits.
They really could be my cousins. :p

I went to see them in the Acoustic tent at Glasto in 2015 (on my own because the people I was with obviously have no taste) not only the highlight of my Glasto that year but one of the best live bands I have ever seen, I will admit, I got a little emotional when hearing 'Sunshine On Leith' played live.

I've never really noticed, but now you mention it, they are strikingly similar?

I saw them live a couple of times years ago when their first album came out, great band. Saw them again about 10 years ago and they still had it.

I'm listening to the birds singing in the tree in my back garden. Better than any music.

Any good, Torch? And how does it compare?

It's nice, Oxygene 16 is a particular highlight. He has the sound just right, not not too clean and modern. Not a patch on the original album but still a great listen. I asked for the vinyl for Christmas and wasn't disappointed.

Nothing! My other half dropped the bombshell on Saturday that she couldn't listen to the match as the 'hifi wasn't working'! Amplifiers not powering at all so its in at a repairers being checked.

Don Henley - The End of Innocence.

Very tame compared to my usual tastes, however I do enjoy Don occasionally. The track he did with Axl Rose is still really, really cringe worthy though.

My Vitriol - Always Your Way

Fantastic single, though it's hard to pigeon hole their style to one genre.

Kissing The Pink- Certain Things Are Likely

Loved Kissing The Pink. That was a cracking single/album despite being a SAW production. They were on TOTP on BBC4 last night doing Last Film. I have loads of unreleased mixes and demos (from all albums) if you ever want a copy.
