A dog barking across the street. It's drowning out the birdsong.

JMJ - Oxygene 3. Better than I thought it would be, not too modern.

I drove to Cov yesterday, as I joined the M40 I put on XTC Drums and Wires - but in shuffle. I always thought that this was the album where they started to lose their edge - which lead to (IMO) the terrible Black Sea. However listening in shuffle, loud, I really enjoyed it. Complicated Game came up first.

I actually got a Simple Minds CD the other day, and despite it being a complete reversal to the kind of music I prefer, I actually love the tracks on it.

Alive and Kicking is legendary, I remembered it from a Cov season review video from yeeeears back.

Funnily enough, this morning I had "Sons and Fascination" on in the car.

I've had a few infections over the last few days so have had a shitty week. What has kept me going is Night & Day by Joe Jackson. Great album which contains his obvious and still stunning hit single.

The Reason, Hooberstank.
Heard it for first time in Eons today so had to get it on when I got home
Released in Summer 2010 during one of the most mental 10 days work ever, there have been many!
Crossing between Bilboa Paris Cologne in a 7-5 ton truck, installing and removing various stands.
Driving through a peasoup near Toulouse and hallucinating that Irish Woolfhounds were coming out of the tarmac through fatigue and eyestrain. Haha
The one constant was this IMO great track, played on the hour, every hour, on every station.
Music is the map of life's memory, no doubt about it, great time had, could have sworn it was longer than 7 years.
Apologies for the lengthy monologue. :p

My lad played me this Hozier live cover of 'Do I Wanna Know' by the Arctic Monkeys the other day, I love the original and I think this is an amazing take on the song, the lyrics fit the style so well.......see what you think...

That is such a clever adoption of the original.
The guy seriously impresses me and I must get to one of his gigs.
There really are some brilliant Blues singers about these days! :)
