Thinking of timing here and the current whirlwind PR etc. (for next season).
I can't see them getting a cheaper deal overall anywhere than what it costs at the Ricoh.
If it were possible to reduce outgoings by say £200K, which I doubt, that may assist in maintaining a Cat 3 or 2 academy?

But we only have one more year of the deal that took us back. Wasps said they won't talk while the legal crap continues. And how do you know that the same deal will be on the table? I would guess that Wasps would want much more.

Our outgoings are going to reduce next season by a lot more than 300k. We will have a Division 4 budget. And not a top one either. But our income will also be much lower.

What don't you understand? I don't believe SISU would choose to move the club out of the city a 2nd time as any reason for them doing that would involve them significantly investing in something or alternatively chucking money away. That's something I don't think is ever going to happen given the sums required to do that, especially given the chances they've already spurned with the Ricoh would have cost much less. They only moved us the first time to try and get the Ricoh and that's off the table now. So if we do end up moving, it will be because Wasps are refusing to talk still/holding a division 4 club to rent ransom or that CRFC also refuse to do business with SISU. I didn't see his requests for mediation as anything other than a token gesture to show the FL they tried but everyone was against them.

wasps are not for me don't do rugby at all but they would negotiate if court action is dropped thats not holding

Can see the logic with the rail and road links, but there is no guarantee people would travel (even if it is 9 miles) to justify someone being daft enough to put money into building a new stadium by the NEC. Only plus would be its the "package" to be sold on...though i'll be the NEC would have something to say. Taking possible non-footy events away from the Arena???

Yep, think the impending relegation has got them in a real panic and that they are trying to cover their arse with the FL in case Wasps really do hold out with the silent treatment and force them out. Wouldn't be the first time Fisher and SISU have horribly misjudged a situation.

The ground is shared with the rugby club who have resorted to blocking off turnstiles and catering as they are in dispute with the football club. Dont think it would work to be fair.

There isn't a ground share agreement between the two at the minute that's half the problem

I think they're actually talking about the Birmingham wheels site for the main stadium with BCFC not the NEC. Birmingham wheels having been previously eyed up by BCFC but it fell through because of financing. It's also a stones throw from their existing stadium. Railway station on the doorstep also.

So the mediation is a list of things he wants and everyone else involved are supposed to join in with the mediation. I can't see it getting us anywhere even if it does happen. Our contract to play at the Ricoh has one more season to go. And Wasps are refusing to talk until the legal action stops.

We are about to become a Division 4 side. Gates will be well down. But so will the player budget. It sounds like our budget will be about 8th highest in Division 4. So in other words not very high. So financially SISU will be OK.

Now the bad part. Nothing happens with the Butts. Kicked out of the Ricoh. Fisher goes to the FL to move us out of Coventry. The FL would probably agree with the move. And our budget would be so low that Fisher would expect about 3k of us again to travel to 'home' games. But what Fisher doesn't understand is there would be many less turning up this time.

I can't see us getting The Butts ready for 2018/19, still think a short term Ricoh deal is most likely.

I have always said that they will stay around until they get money back in some way. And the JR'S are a part of this.

Wouldn't it be best to find out what Fisher has said he wants before cheering on the mediation that doesn't seem to include SISU in the talks? The threat of continuing with court cases if he doesn't get what he wants makes me think he might be after the other parties financing the build. And I can't see it happening.

Apart from the fact that the Allianz arena is away from the center of town and shared by two competing clubs. TF knows the directors of 1860 and likes the stadium. It can work with a major stadium sponsor.

My intuition tells me we will stay long term at the Ricoh. Forget the bull shit, the smokescreen, the willingness to mediate because in my opinion it's a ploy to remain at the Ricoh. It's the most sensible and affordable solution. Wasps will cave in because they need CCFC more than CCFC needs them. What do others think ?

When will SISU learn that withholding rent, taking the club away. Suing people, getting mauled in court then suing them again.
It really does focus people's minds, absolutely. Unfortunately you are just getting their backs up and focusing their minds completely against you. This is the the third time we are going down this type of route and the outcome unfortunately will be the same.
