Last I checked this thread was all champagne on ice and get ready to apologise, now it's just an offer and get ready to shout about Sisu?

Let's purge it and just leave the fish stuff.

I never said a takeover would already have been agreed.
I inferred there would be a side to take on Tuesday. (When it's rejected ?).
I am saying we should bombard Sisu with a united front though if it is.

Reject what exactly? A bid to take over or a deal to stay at the stadium?

To be honest I could make a bid and leave everyone speculating like these rumours, but I am pre guessing Joy and her chums would'nt really take my bid too serious either...its one thing to try and get peoples hopes up that are clutching at straws its another thing trying to appease the locusts there

No, because if it is a great offer then I will say that it's a great offer. It's not hard to understand.

I'm not displaying faux anger at Italia, I have said he has back tracked (as have others) from how he was portraying it before and how it reads more like a PR stunt the way he is saying things. Have others who have repeated rumours given it the "I guess you will be backing SISU come Wednesday" and stuff like that?

Where have SISU been defended in any of it in terms of Italia's rumour? What's more predictable is using that bullshit because I have pointed out it looks like it could be a PR stunt to get everybody worked up. The whole "Everybody get ready to be angry at SISU" type comments make it look that way.

If it is a PR stunt then no doubt you will be on at people who question it or try to gather more information about it like you were with the £51,987.35 offer from KCIC to buy the club debt free. Looking back you were quite worked up when anybody asked anything about it because they weren't just getting angry at SISU for rejecting it. :emoji_clap: Apparently people who asked Michael questions about it were doing "SISU's spin". You even called somebody a "spin doctor" and a "fan" because they asked these about that KCIC offer:

Your reply:

In reply to somebody saying he was just asking questions, you said:

Yeah. Looks like you are the predictable one in all of this using the "defending SISU" line when they clearly aren't.

The other good ones were when somebody asked decent questions about how the offer would work, not stupid ones or abusive and your clever replies were to just bang on about asking SISU about the new stadium.

If god forbid one day we get taken over, we need a clearout from top to bottom, in all areas of the club!

Fisher Out, Sepalla Out, Igwe Out, Brody Out, SISU Out, Slade Out, Oggy Out, Wasps Out, Coventry Council Out, Alan Higgs Out, Sharp Out, Linnel Out, Foster Out, Nick Out, Italia Horse Out, Grendel Out, EarlsdonSkyBlue Out, Hoffman Out, Elliot Out ....imagine trying to get all that on a banner!

I think it is pretty certain there are moves afoot to try and wrestle the club from sisu, I also think Sepalla and Coleman would like to get rid too, they and their business are not awash with money, unlike the Charlton owner who can just sit back with his billions and smile at the antics of the Charlton fans.
We have these Hoffman rumours doing the rounds...again.. and this latest Aussie possible interest, that wouldn't be a bad one if we think about it comes with a ready maybe goalkeeper coach in Mark Schwarzer, might still be good enough to play ! What I'm certain will happen if any of this speculation bares fruit is it will happen very quietly, no on going banner headlines and sisu will slink off into the night, they are a Hedgefund, that's what they do, as little publicity as possible, fingers crossed something materialises, in my opinion we are staring at the abyss.

At the risk of being ridiculed for all of time by the SBT populace, i heard from someone loosely connected to both city and wasps that they have heard rumblings about a take over involving 4 wealthy men (Hoffman being confirmed as one of them) taking a percentage each (15-20%) and the remaining shares being sold off to fans.

This proposal was apparently being taken to a board meeting for a vote some time this week. I took it with a pinch of salt, and can in no way verify the accuracy but they would have no reason to lie to me.
the bit about shares make sense and I've had my suspicions that some of the info gathered in the trust survey was done so on behalf of a third party.
i'd definitely be interested in taking up on a shares offer.

Another thing, owning a football club nowadays costs big money and you need people with big money, I don't think Gary Hoffman is at that level, but he could be stalking horse seeing what it might take to get sisu to atleast cock an ear and listen.
Just getting some idea of a price would be something.

I dont think you need big money to reach the lower reaches of the chamionship and that can be achieved with the right break even model.
Anything above that realistically need bank rolling though there will always be an exception.

Going off topic a little (and this may have already been mentioned elsewhere on the forum) but I heard a Talksport interview with Brighton's chief exec the day after they won promotion. Jim White was saying how Brighton have proved that you can get it right with the right owners, in this case the owner is a Brighton fan. But, then the chief exec mentioned that the owner had put £250m into the Club and they had for the last few years been losing £25m a year. They gambled on promotion and got it, but surely if they had gone another few years in the Championship then they would have been on their arse (with the owner most likely protested against for bringing the club to its knees financially!) Is someone really ever going to come into CCFC and invest that kind of money and take that risk?

If it is the Aussie it might be attractive to them as Rugby Union is massive down under. They could well work in conjunction with Wasps, the Man Utd of Rugby Union regarding sharing the Ricoh on attractive terms ?
Rugby Union is not massive down under, not sure where you've got that from, its probably the 4th/5th most popular sport. Voice of nonsense.

Will we be told about the small print?

The way Italia is now saying it will be rejected and everybody should be on at SISU kind of makes it seem like a PR stunt already rather than an actual genuine offer.
It's unlikely to meet Sisu losses but I'm advised (but don't know the details) it will be a reasonable offer.
What we don't want is people like you taking a Sisu approach and straight batting it,
Fans need to get behind it as we need Sisu out regardless.
We should be getting Sisu phone numbers and emails and contacting them directly with our views.
I've got my list ready.

Share your list (pm them if necessary) if it appears to be a decent offer then I'll join in the barage.

i hope that its just italias personal view that it will be rejected and we should get angry

would be disappointed if the actual bidders are putting an offer in just to get it rejected and get fans on their side.

I've got my list ready.

Fans will get behind it if we know more about the actual offer.

"straight batting it", is that the same as asking questions about it to get more information?

It's exactly like that KCIC offer where people were asking decent questions directly to the person on here making the offer and got abuse for it.

All you are doing is making it look like a PR stunt.

"Straight batting it" or "calling bullshit on it"?

Offers been made, nowhere near what sisu want, ( think we all knew that) been a few offers but none credible...sorry..

It may be the value SISU place on the club is incredible but the offers are credible.

I dunno, too many variables. Why would 4 "wealthy" men only muster 80% of the bid? You would think it must be a pretty sizeable amount. And if so, what guarantees can they give to SISU that 20% can be raised by fans? Do they really expect honest but average wage fans to be able to put up the other 20%, without any forethought or consultation?

I'm starting to think this rumour my not be true. Anyone else get this feeling?

Gut feeling yes. Though I did find it extremely plausable that Hoff would take his wing man Joe to a meeting with the head of WASPs...just get his kid on their netball team. :shifty:
