I'd say a CCFC with no debt at all running close to break even isn't that broken, I'd say it's a great base to build on. If he was going to try and take it on leaking millions a year with loads of players on long silly contracts for example and a long unaffordable lease etc it would be worse.

But if they sell Ryton, the club would have no where to train, no changing facilities, no gym facilities, and probably no medical facilities, it would be hard to imagine how the club could even pretend to be a professional football club
anymore.
Not sure we would get much for Willis, and there is no guarantee clubs would pay more than a million now for Stevenson, they may but I wouldn't bank on it. Clubs targets may have changed. We are now a fourth division club,with 4th division players,they generally don't attract huge fees.
Plus if season tickets sales are down by say 80%, again they may not, we just don't know, but then the club could be facing the prospect of it haemorrhaging money. Again all iffs and maybes, but then Hoffman's offer may look more generous than it does now. Particularly if the ground situation still remains deadlocked.

I'd imagine it would be resolved to a point and stop the fighting but fixed? Not a chance, any deal would be largely on wasps terms. The club are going to be feeling the effects of the last 4 years for the next 100.

No, there isn't going to be an amazing new CCFC stadium, custom training ground and academy etc but that's what Hoffman will be planning.

As I said above, if it was me I'd look to do what Pompey did with fan funding and set something up that can earn a bit of money and be community based too for a training facility. I have no idea what grants would / could be available for that sort of thing if SBITC were based there too.

That would just leave the stadium situation which can then be looked at.

No it's a great base because he has lots of options. The club is break even at the minute and no long contract the new owner is stuck into, and they go into any talks as not SISU.

Not saying it wouldn't be hard work and might take a bit of time to rebuild.

I'm also not saying I'd go to Wasps and let me shag me in the arse either with some silly long term deal and no revenue with no break clause. I don't personally want to be in a Wasps branded stadium forever, I'd also speak with Cov Rugby to see just what was discussed with them about the Butts and what was planned there. Options would always remain open Plus, as he isn't SISU he would instantly have backing. If Hoffman owned us and Wasps were being dicks to us I think it would get a different reaction.

Again, that's based on what he's trying to buy. It's a different story if it was taking on shit loads of debt.

The minute they took over there should be a massive charm offensive, I'd want to see Elliott in every business in the city shaking hands trying to flog advertising and sorting out corporate deals with them for tickets. Get into the Unis for a partnership, get in with Cov Rugby.

Get down the business parks and look for the big employers, places like Thompson at Westwood Park and even Camping and Caravanning etc. Send Sky Blue Sam in, give the staff a voucher for a fiver for a ticket and see if they want to sponsor a player or a match etc. Get 3 or 4 sky blue sam suits made and hammer the shit of the community. Businesses, schools, charity events etc. Who are wasps?
