It happens a lot. Some of the stories you hear chill you to the bone. And while no underage girl can consent, there's a real problem with (some, a minority of) girls who think it makes them cool, or that their 30 year old boyfriend "loves" them.

We need to stop treating teenagers as adults and letting them run around with no supervision. We need to massively improve care, social workers are massively overworked and underfunded. We need to massively overhaul SRE in schools. We need to look at what we do with troubled kids full stop. None of it works and all that will come out of this is more paperwork for social workers to fill in and more crappy training sessions to attend, just sticking a plaster over a gaping wound.

Mustn't lose sight of the fact that the blokes doing it were the criminals rather than police social services and of course the girls. The whole area of risk management and care is enormously underfunded and lying, manipulating and coercive behaviour are areas where the police and social services are as bad as the criminal on occasion. While I understand the parent responsibility bit, it really doesn't warrant what happened to the poor girls by middle aged men. The dad on it (Paul Kaye) was knocking a door trying to get his daughter, I'd have kicked it down and windmilled everybody and anybody who came near me. The most shocking part was when that nurse went in with a huge folder of evidence and police, social services etc all basically shrugged their shoulders and said nothing to do with them.

The bit where they took them to Bradford and the bloke pulled a shotgun on them. I'd have GPS trackers on the kids for starters to see where they have been and Raid them.

It wasn't only the parents, there was peer pressure and straight up threatening as well.

It's only showed 1 set of parents where their daughter got in with the wrong crowd.

What I don't get is how one of the abusers was banging on a door shouting threats to the girls and is making phone calls threatening them.

as you will see from my previous posts i have said blame rests squarely on the rapists. i simply think there is a big issue with how easy it was for them. and i would like more of a spotlight shone on that aswell to stop it happening.

i am indian,not pakistani. not that it matters. but making it clear i am not defending anyone of any colour for disgusting crime like this. just genuinly interested in how something like this can go on for so long without antyhing happening and whilst the social services and police need to be looked into so does british society as a whole.

and yes the race thing is huge, many people beleive it was skirted around by police, this is unnacceptable. my only point is they picked certain girls for a reason. they didnt pick sikh or hindu girls,or private school british girls etc. went after vulnerable and i want to know WHY they were vulnerable.

Now, it does seem that the whole world is run by child abusers these days (remember the BBC scandal), but there is certainly an issue with muslim grooming gangs in many areas in the UK.

It's going on everywhere, and as Nick says, they have skirted the issue for too long because they were scared to be called racist. The sad thing is, it's a fact this is going on. Every few days there is a court case around the UK with groups of men in the dock.

I almost don't want to say it because it'll trigger a lot of people on here, but at the moment Tommy Robinson is doing a lot of work for Rebel Media, effectively going around the country and exposing these gangs and confronting them outside the courts. Don't shoot the messenger, but just go and watch some of the videos, it's fucking incredible how their girlfriends and family defend them so strongly.

I'm not sure about Nazi, he frequently gets called racist but actually I don't think I've ever heard him say anything that is racist either.

He absolutely hates Islam and that's what he goes on about a lot. I think more people would take him seriously if he hadn't of had a spell in the EDL leading it, but then again maybe no one would of listened to him if he hadn't been involved with that.

You have to be careful, certainly I listen to both sides of the coin on everything before I make an opinion, but sadly in the case of Muslim grooming gangs he is right.

From last night's, what I don't get is why the parents (who seemed quite normal and caring) weren't just locking their daughter up or not letting her out.

She had got pregnant by a grown man from abuse, it's all well and good being upset at the kitchen table but make sure she isn't going out anywhere at all.
