In all the excitement, 2 points to make:
1) people seem to be having selective memory syndrome - when he was here, most people would moan about for his tendency to have one good game in 10 and to duck out of tackles - he wasn't a great for us by any means and didn't make any impact in the season we were relegated from the Championship
2) they do say in football "never go back" - look at McSheff - how many times is it the case that the returning player does better second time round than the first time?
That said, he'd be a lot better than some of the dross we picked last season so would only be an improvement as things stand.
I've posted numerous times in the past about this. He was always having to cover for Christies forays into the opposition box and lost a major part of his game for the sake of the team.
I for one will be happy if he comes back (Baker not Chrisite).
