Anyone hear the chap on Radio 4 getting all worked up about his fruit farm going out of business because his entire workforce are from the EU and will disappear. He voted leave!

Has a lot to do with a possible united EU military or a EU army at some future time. Do you trust Trump ( connections with the Russian Mob through money laundering ), or Putin ( connections with corrupt Oligarchs and the Russian Mob )? Or Merkel, a german scientist, who's partner is a scientist and has no connections to any mob?

He said what he thinks that an EU army is inevitable. Some others agree. Some others don't agree. I think there will be some form of unified military at some future time. Each country providing some of their army to a " merged unit ". They already do in a small form. One of my German helpers was in the Congo with the French as a paratrooper. No great shakes, but seen as positive in Europe.

With Trump and Putin as enemies, one must be prepared.

He certainly wasn't thinking of "leave" as a concept, but more likely the post Brexit EU situation.

I do think that we are presuming that we will be a world power as we were before the war. I don't think Kim un Jong knows where Britain is. His missiles are not aimed at some ex colonial and ex European power.

Nope. Dont trust any of the fuckers whatsoever. I have to place more trust in British politicians though as they are all I can loosely affect or influence.

And you can only say no 'known' connections to any mob. Some would argue the EU is simply a legalised mob though

You are one of the ones that claim Germany is the EU. I claim that Germany has a lot of influence because of it's larger population and economic power. But, it is not the majority of the EU. Britain was also very powerful within the EU, but gets played down as a "victim" being coerced into it's own decisions.

If Britain had managed to shape it - it wouldn't look or operate as it does now. Britain has merely had a token restraining influence imo. Romania & Bulgaria might still be outside of the EU. There would probably be no Euro, & nonesense of shifting from Strasbourg to Brussels would have been stopped.
The rest of the EU would probably be more despairing at our quirks as we do at theirs too!

I personally couldnt be 100% sure if britain is performing so poorly in a time of a fairly strong global economy because of brexit or just because of financial mis management by the tories.
either way i only voted renain because i had no daith in tbose clowns and that seems to be the xase.

We don't know really 'how many'. The ones that shout loudest the messages the media wants/need to stir things up into controversy & varying degrees of hysteria are the ones that get heard. Most others say little or nothing with much real passion or conviction.

I struggled with the more real pros & cons than the negative & scare tactics from both camps but voted remain...in the end - because my grown up lads thought that was the way to go - & it's their future. BUT it is what it is & we have to accept it, & whatever comes our way as a result

Funny I've not seen any confirmation. If you said "if" anyone who is already in his workforce wants to stay they can. If they are here legally then why can't or wouldn't they stay?

You want to replace EU unskilled workers with unskilled workers from elsewhere in the world if we have a major unskilled labour shortage, e.g. third world or developing countries? Is that your version of Brexit? I think the farmer was complaining that unskilled British workers won't do the jobs in the fields that EU Eastern Europeans will do. I also think that the people who don't want immigrants would not be pleased by replacing European ones with black or brown ones. I suspect many want no immigrants at all and would rather go back back to sending their youngsters to see stirring films about glorifying great British losses such as Dunkirk - as recommended by Farage. I would recommend "The charge of the light brigade" as an example of heroic Brits charging into an obvious disaster as a result of terrible leadership and false communications.

Exactly. He said he'd had one English worker in the last few years and he'd only lasted a day. The issue is the work is seasonal so they all go back to their home country out of season and often its a different group who come over to replace them so the 'they are already here they'll be allowed to stay' theory doesn't apply.

some operations? you mean a European wing of 150 people so the can operate within the EU, while its headquarters stays in Edinburgh. RBS have operations in the USA does that mean they are moving to the us now because of brexit?
