Pearson signs (11 Viewers)

I wonder if he has found a long term deal or got an injury

Either way, hopefully it means somebody is coming in

Doesn't he need to sign for somebody by tomorrow because he played for us?

Or does it go by cancellation date?

I suspect MR thought he wasn't up to it, said "look son, I'm not offering you a deal - thanks for your time and good luck elsewhere", which Pearson acknowledged was MR's call and accepted, then it was put out there as "mutual consent".

Leaves us a man down at CB which hopefully will be filled ASAP, given Rod and Willis injury concerns.

Sounds most likely.
Given him a chance - he either hasn't convinced MR or convinced someone else to take a chance. Good luck either way.

You miss the point, the funds were always there, so it's hardly freeing up £££.

But I guess freeing up a space for a player who wasn't even contracted must be like winning the lottery... o_O

I thought non-contract terms means that you still get paid a weekly/monthly wage?

You would be paid alright rolling week by week with no end date unless mutually agreed

We were paying him, now we are not paying him = Funds freed up.

Or maybe he was a bit pissed us looking to sign a player while he is still on non contract basis

If robins hasn't got anybody lined up it's like Mowbray and Martin all over again.
Maybe MR thought the bloke's injury record was too worrying (like Reda where we took a gamble and lost), rather than blithely discarding a perfectly decent pro with a decent fitness record in the hope of getting something better...

Either way, hopefully there's reason behind it!

Very odd move. Why did he play last night? Has someone offered him a contract? Have we a replacement lined up?

But concerning especially after Robins reeled off names of injured players post match last night, some of which who were defenders!!

Maybe he was in the shop window last night.
