Agree with the concept of loaning him out, don't necessarily agree with him being the player deemed surplus. From what I've seen from Biamou we needn't have bothered signing him. Kwame a much better option for me personally.
This I agree with although Kwame is always injured.

But that is surely based on seeing so very little of Biamou. He's hardly played for us.
Beavon will come good too I'm sure. We just need to utilise him properly.

I see this as only being positive. We've got a link with Sutton now, who are doing well in a physical league, so use them. Thomas can go out now, plays 4-5 games, get kicked to shit, score a few goals, come back and all of a sudden we have a confident striker on our books who can hit the ground running. Or he gets injured

Remind me how many minutes Biamou has played?
I remember how shit everyone was saying Thomas was during his first 2 sub appearances, before his big injury, but now he's suddenly good?

Considering how fragile he is I am unsure if playing on an artificial pitch is good or bad. Hope this is to get him fit rather than the prelude to a permanent move.

I think you'll find I said 'From what I've seen of Biamou'. Did I say that's it he's shite altogether, get rid now? Did I fuck. It was based on seeing every minute he's played for the team so far, including starts against Blackburn where he was woeful.

Completely take that on board, I was merely stating it was a case of so far so bad (see above post). It's exactly the same as me giving rave reviews to Rod McDonald. The general consensus on here in 12 months time may be that he's actually shite. We just don't know how any of the 12 signings are going to fare. First impressions however are very easy to glean. No harm in expressing them is there?
Beavon is frustrating me a great deal. You wouldn't have known he was on the pitch last weekend. At least last season he was contributing and getting notable assists. Maybe he just needs a confidence boost, the old goal off the backside etc.

A start with a massively weakened signed with 2 19 year olds in midfield behind him. And against a team, that is still full of players who were playing championship football the season before when he has come from non-league...
Think he needs to be given more of a chance by people. Don't see how Kwame is so much better just because he scored 2 goals last year.

Point taken and I hope he comes good. Kwame ended last season reasonably well. I think a lot had high hopes for him this year although his injury plagued pre season appears to have curtailed any chance of becoming first choice.

I agree on Beavon. One of my favourite players last season, but just not the same this.
The big question of course is, is that down to him or the service? I just can't see how you just stop being a good player just like that.

Agree Kwame did do OK, but then again I think the entire team was a lot better under Robins.

I agree, think it is dwfinetly down to service and support from midfield.
Last season although useless, we had Reid, and Ruben both right up with them, and Thomas who was taking the goal scoring pressure off beavon to an extent.
Not only that but Bigi was at least willing to pass forwards and take a risk, unlike doyle and kelly.
Plus Haynes and DKE as full backs, just in general we had more players further up the pitch. Meaning he could create chances for players

And of course the long ball game doesn't suit him or any of our players except Vincenti of course.
Couldn't agree more. In the games I've seen Biamou play he has been out of his depth and shocking. Thomas is a better option if he is ever fit!

Exactly, there's an element of make or break: had a good run in the U23s, needs to prove form and fitness for Sutton and maybe he could play a role this season.
This could also mean Ponticelli makes a few sub appearances now!

Kwame Thomas has played 14 games for the club, Biamou has made about 3 appearances. Neither are proven and clearly the best man to judge - Robins - disagrees with most on here.
It could take just one goal to build either player's confidence, but Thomas is far too injury prone to be considered a viable option at this point.
Ledley King, on ability, wasn't too far off Terry and Ferdinand when he played, which was never...

I think he is just the same as last year zero end product but runs around a lot, he doesn't score because he doesn't get in the right positions and when he does he is tired from all the aimless running around, I hope he is left out today and I would go as far as offering him a free transfer or a termination of his contract it was a stupid decision to extend his contract

Exactly. Get him fit if possible. Too early to judge Biamou but on first sight a fit Thomas is better from whatvwe saw of him last season.

He wasn't really that good last season. His goals and assists were still pretty poor.
He was ok but would soon have been forgotten and ultimately forwards who never score goals aren't much use

I thought he looked good for the most part and surely it depends on how many assists he provides.
I think he has done nowt so far this season, but last season I was impressed with him.

I was of the belief that Andreu would play behind McNulty when he signed given their past playing together in Scotland.
Beavon has never been a player to get you goals, but, he's had several promotions and is an experienced player - you want and need those heads around your squad. You're missing the point if you expect a lot of goals from him. Got POTY for Burton the year they got promoted... he scored 5 in 40+ games so clearly there's more to his game than goals.

Yep. Totally agree.
The one doubt about him of course is that he's getting older and every player's star goes on the wane at some point.
Robins obviously thinks he still has a role to fill though and I do think he will be a key member of our squad this season.
