In supporting your club you are categorized as "sheep"? Surely the desire of any fan is to ensure its survival?
Fighting to keep the club alive is the action you should be taking and the best way to do that is getting behind the team.
I AM SHEEP

If thats the case there must be something wrong with me then. I don't live in Coventry anymore it would be easier and closer to watch my team play at Northampton, but i new it was wrong!
Yes off course i want our club to survive its just got to run its course with the current owners.

It's amazing though isn't it how I have been right every time that something is going to come out?

Also strange how certain people do a post every few weeks and then suddenly go into overdrive isn't it to drive a point home and creating threads to draw attention to it?

It's obvious to people who have eyes.
You're obviously getting at me here ok won't start anymore threads re this issue. Oh and I haven't got an agenda at the moment

No, I was saying that you clearly took one thing from the article and that was that SISU and CCFC are the same thing as that's all you posted.

You clearly post shite day in, day out regardless ;) (The same as me and plenty of others).

Surely as owners of the site the onus to produce plans etc is on CRFC at a time and a specification that suits them.

Not sure how CCFC can drive the development and make decisions about planning, building etc when they are not owners of the site and only one of several potential tenants. "put up or shut up" in terms of BPA is a bit of a nonsense at this stage for CCFC they simply do not control the process.

They do however need to be making clear decisions soon and being transparent about it. The club needs some certainty. - wont hold my breath on that though

Can one of the "experts" on here tell me ccfc or those running it can spend money on whatever they like say a player without informing or getting the okay from sisu or Joy Sepalla ? If they can I'll accept ccfc is a separate entity to sisu.

Not sure how many times it has to be explained. Legally Otium is a separate entity to SISU there is nothing at all that shows otherwise. What you are mistakenly taking as being the same entity is actually a description of being controlled by SISU in the decisions made. Like many companies not all decisions need to be passed to the "owners" for approval though.

It is a question of control not entity.

Perhaps if people used the right terms and descriptions there wouldn't be these perpetual misconceptions, pointless arguments and not challenging SISU on the real issues.

The reason it is important to get it right was highlighted with the administration of CCFC Ltd. That company formed part of the SBS&L group whose members are controlled by SISU exactly like Otium t/a CCFC is , had it been the same entity then SISU would have been in administration too, which of course it was not. That allowed SISU to take actions, for example to break the lease, that did not risk SISU Capital Limited - CCFC Ltd though controlled by SISU was expendable without affecting SISU existence as an entity. They made the decisions, controlled the process but were never the same entity.

Similarly Otium t/a CCFC is not the same entity any way you like to look at it. Otium is most definitely controlled by SISU though as was CCFC Ltd

Perhaps the worry should be that they are not the same entity, because of the options being separate brings

ps I have the qualifications that cover accounts, group structures and basic company law which some would say makes me an expert not an "expert" thanks

I don't think this has actually got a lot to do with the football club. I think Sharp is just laying the ground for the next stage of the Butts expansion and is making his position clear.
I don't think it's timings great for the club though.

From which perspective?

If I was the council I would be doing everything I could to help the football club as its important to the city and that would be my primary aim over sticking one to the clubs current owners. Although if I was in that positon I wouldn't have made it so hard for the club in the first place or sold the ground to Wasps.

If you're talking from Wasps perspective I would certainly be looking to do a deal. A successful CCFC playing at the Ricoh would be hugely beneficial to my business.
Of course there is the alternative argument that forcing CCFC out of the city would also be to my benefit as it decreases competition. Which route to take would depend on what is more important, the short term or the long term.

The idea that if one company is taking legal action against another all business between the two stops is complete nonsense. Companies involved in legal action work together all the time.
Who has been the biggest supplier of iPhone parts since the phone launched? Samsung. Who are Apple suing for $2bn for patent infringement? Samsung.

As Chiefdave, if someone was repeatedly suing you despite them get advised by the judicial system to give up because their case was so weak.
They are causing you hassle time and money.
You have a legal duty to deal with them over certain matters. However they need you go well above and beyond that obligation and proactively help them out.
You are prepared to help but ask them to stop wasting your time and money with the pointless action. They refuse, would you help them above and beyond.
Also as chiefdave do you now wish that SISU drop the action

It makes you wonder why people want to actively stir and confuse though ;)

How many people do you think who post on here are part of this conspiracy Nick?
I only ask as I was once one of the ones who you used to allude to as been part of it.
When in reality all it was, was that my opinions on matters were very different to yours.
You could be wrong on quite a few accounts. I would also suggest you have alluded to this quite a few times in here in the past and nothing came out afterwards.
So I wouldn't say that every time you think it is happening news then breaks. I am sure in the past it has but probably not the every time you think it.
Not having a pop at you by the way just an observation from someone who has had it alluded to about me.

And.
Tip my hat in some sort of perverse admiration.

I probably said that as you went out of your way to create a thread about being proud of the council and go on random sprees of creating threads and overdrive ;)

When I have said it and something hasn't happened?

Don't take my word of it, keep an eye out for DJ Khaled gifs, they will be a code word. Then check the way they post.

That was my opinion and still is to be fair, not that I was part of any conspiracy.
Quite a few times on here to be honest, because I lift my eyebrows each time you do it.
Sorry I have little faith in it as been accurate purely because you were throwing it my way when it wasn't true. Hence naturally I am suspicious of how many others you think are at it who actually are not.
Then you get the likes of Grendel when they are losing a debate will throw it in to try and reduce the other oerson's credibly.
He did it to me the other day, it just makes me smile as you then know he has lost the debate.
I have no doubt there are some SUSU employees on here. There will definitely be council employees who are Cov fans. You may also have a PR person.
However I don't think it is a rife as you think and you have definitely claimed in the past that something is building up. Only for nothing to happen.
I genuinely can't be arsed to find your posts then to try and research the news at that time to prove it. However I genuinely believe it has happened.

Not sure if I heard correctly and have tried to do some research. I believe there are some new regulations coming in to force in relation to money laundering. One of the items I saw mentioned accountancy firms having to check who the beneficial owners are and doing due diligence on all related people before being able to sign off accounts. As I said not sure if that was a correct interpretation or me grasping at straws that somehow this will adversely affect Sisu/Otium? Perhaps you could expand on this subject for us non accountancy types

You can lift your eyebrows all your want, it's interesting how you say there are SISU employees (there probably is that are better at hiding it) but council employees are on here as cov fans.

It isn't just on here, it will be the media as well ramping things up a bit. I said it last week, it's already gone up a gear...

Basically the new Money launderings regulations focus on how the due diligence on clients old or new is done. Rather than a simple proof of identity (passport etc) professionals additionally have to adopt a risk based assessment of the client and key personnel. Looking at it from the outside I do not see there would be any issues for SISU & Seppala even with their raised profile, I would think the same applies to any of the directors

So is that for you as an accountant / auditor to do extra checks on people you do work for in case they are dodgy?
