I expect the Tories to cling to power as long as possible. I would expect Labour to win the next election though and to see yourself leave the country.

It's like some of the remainers (can be seen on here) that celebrate when something goes wrong with Brexit, and in turn are therefore happy when the country goes south. However, when called out they just say 'It's only because I care'.
It's totally pathetic.
TM'S vision for Brexit it very poor, but it's a case of any excuse or explanation for the biggest and most embarrassing losers in UK history.

I haven't seen any poster on here celebrate, the only thing is going to have a long-term negative effect on the country. Brexiteers need to stop playing the blame game and tell us how they are going to make a success of the whole thing rather than carrying on with insults.

agree with this. A lot of mixed indicators both politically and economically, it really is hard to call which way this will pan out.
I actually thought what May said in Florence was quite sensible in the circumstances though she seems to be under fire from both sides - that's politics I suppose!

I read this morning the transitional deal was meant to be 5 years and Boris article put massive pressure on and got it reduced to this 2 year that was announced Friday.
One thing I think we can all agree on and I hold the firm opinion that TM is massively incompetent and has changed her mind more times than the wind in this last year to EU to the budget to the general election. She is a fully paid up member of the political class and she will go with the majority to fit in. She won't last too much longer in my opinion.

Johnson has also changed his mind plenty of times and is even more incompetent than May. Didn't he write articles for both remain and leave? Unlike most other Tories, who put the party before country, he puts himself before the party and country.

Well I agree also. I voted leave but I don't for one second think it will solve all our problems of course not. It was the choice given on the ballot paper and I chose to leave based on my own opinion and research.

Some people need to be able to see past their nose to see what is going on.
There are good things about being in the EU. There are bad things about being in the EU. There are good things about being out the EU. There are bad things about being out of the EU.
Saying that we will crash and burn if and when we leave is like saying it would happen if we vote leave. We voted leave. Most didn't happen. Our economy has got stronger.
This is why I haven't used guesswork on here. I have used facts as we know them. And we don't know many. You tell me what sort of deal we will end up with and I will tell you which direction I think we will go in.
None of those that only say about the best parts of being in the EU will say on how to deal with our massive homeless problem. All they do is blame the present and past governments. This doesn't solve the problem. Just staying in the EU will make the problem worse. Or at least until Juncker goes and he is replaced by someone who cares more about the people than making a superstate that all uses the same currency of which they have no control over.
If you want to help poorer countries the best you could do is give them billions before they join. Let them sort their problems out. Then when strong enough they could join. But presently they join, join the Euro, then find out that their people leave for the immediate benefit. Then they get into more financial difficulties as they are tied to a stronger currency than their economy can handle. This puts them further into debt. So more money is constantly needed.
I am lucky. I am in a position financially to be able to retire. But I am not 50 yet. I have 4 motors. My newest is on a 55 plate. I don't need to keep up with the Joneses. Yet have only ever broken down once. I don't waste thousands each year renting a car that I call mine. I have 3 contract phones. I never pay what they say they cost. I hit the sales as much as I can. I'm off to Zante in a few days time. Just been shopping. Got 4 pairs of shorts. Reduced from £45 to a fiver each. Saved £160. Bought various tops. Saved on average £30 on each. And they will all do for next year.
I don't go spending everything I have got each month. I don't count myself as being skint only when I have run out of credit. I plan for the future all the time. I won't have the millionaire lifestyle when I retire. My plan is to buy a new motor for the first time in my life. It will be about 80k for a motorhome. And spend the rest of my days either following my football club all over or touring Europe. All I will need is fuel money, site fees and money for food and a lot of drink. I would need about the same to stay at home and do nothing.
What happens is you have a lot of people that spend everything they have then blame others for being skint all the time.
You have to plan for the future. You can't rely on politicians. Most are after what is best for them. They are not bothered what happens to you.

it's quite clear, that like the tories, Brexit has the potential to split the party and I think Corbyn is going to have a job stopping this spilling over.
The only party who seems to have a united front on the Brexit issue is the Lib dems - I wonder if they can take advantage?

The Lib Dems lost every bit of credibility they had when they jumped into bed with the Tories. My wife always voted for them. But never again.
They are like the SDP in Germany. They might never recover from getting into bed with Merkel.

Spot on and when they said they wouldn't raise student fees and they then voted for it. Never recovered since.
The candidate was the wrong one which didn't help, but you are right about the SPD. They have said that they will go into the opposition- although they have not technically been voted out of government as a coalition partner.

Just like the Lib Dems did here. They went into something that their voters didn't want.
Merkel has a tough time going forward. Just like the Tories had here. There will be a lot of unhappy people whoever joins her.....if they do.
Why? The FDP were with the CDU in the past. The greens would love to be there - and would want some good concessions. Main thing is that the GroKo will end and to fight the AfD.

Something has to change with the EU or the racist vote will keep getting bigger.

It seems to have come from Momentum. As others have said, Brexit has the potential to massively split the party.
The FDP have a History of being a junior coalition partner. Last time with the CDU they screwed up. The SDP have repeated that they want to be the opposition party - if not AfD will be the largest opposition party. AfD have no real policy apart from we don't want foreigners. They will be like Trump... achieve nothing because they have no idea. BTW Schultz has said May is talking crap. Just pandering to U.K. Politics. He says the EU should not give her a transition period.
