Got a couple of gigs coming up next year including Roger Waters, Evanescence & Peter Kay.
My friend drives for NHS and in the past I have twice got him tickets for AC/DC as he has been at work when they have gone on sale. He is a bit of a technophobe too and doesn't have a pc/tablet, rarely uses email, never goes on price comparison sites when his insurances are due and certainly doesn't have a ticketmaster account. Iron Maiden tickets go on sale today and he asked me to get some for him so I said yes and then last night he tells me that last time he went to see them they weren't given tickets and had to show the credit card used to get in. I checked on Iron Maiden's website and sure enough no tickets are issued and you can only get in by providing the credit card used, photo id and if possible the confirmation email. All people that you buy tickets for have to go in together. It all seems a bit OTT and I know they are trying to stop the touts but there has to be a way round if you don't use modern technology. A lot of their hardcore fans are likely to be in their 50s & 60s and like my friend not really a technology user, how are they supposed to get tickets & get in? My friend has got someone else to get tickets for him who is also going to the concert, the thought of me driving 660 miles there and back to watch Iron Maiden so he could get in was not very appealing, sometimes it's bad enough to do that to watch CCFC!
