I had hoped to be able to make an announcement before Christmas about where we will be playing next season, but such matters are always complex, and we haven’t quite managed to achieve the target I set. However, I am delighted to say that we will be in a position to make an announcement imminently.

That's what they hinted at last night on CWR, but they said it may only be a one year deal, which really doesn't help that much in the grand scheme of things.

Soon be coming back round again to talking of where we are going to play 'next season!'

If it is perversely it gives me hope SISU have an exit strategy.

Tbf he doesn't come across as a bullshitter. If he says imminently then we probably can expect to hear some news in the next fortnight or so IMO

But Toxic Tim said the same time and again about his new stadium plans and the land they were hoping to purchase. Still waiting !!

Remember Fisher's comment last year that they didn't want to sell at 'the bottom of the cycle'
I suspect they are hoping that MarK Robins can achieve promotion this year
In theory at least they would get more for the club on the up with a feel good flavour among the fans and staff
Apart from their legal wrangling SISU don't appear to have a long term policy other than polishing the club up for a sale
It's only their expectation on the price that has stopped it happening already

There’s another scenario to this ground issue that seems to be overlooked. Keeps being debated on here about negotiation between sisu and Wasps etc, etc. but there’s a third party that has to agree that being the football league. There are rules laid down, I’m certain the EFL can be flexible and have been in the past with others and us. If I remember correctly they okayed the initial 4year with Tim Fisher to enable our return to the Ricoh for £100k a year, at the time Fisher was proclaiming we were going to build our own new stadium within 3 years I think it was, hasnt happened has it and wasn’t that backed up with a million pound bond that’s how serious the EFL made things now here we are again in the same predicament.it would be understandable if the EFL were looking for on going cast iron assurances as to our long term home ground situation. Add to that the Wasp angle who might be angling for an increase in rent and up front too.

Rumours keep flying around of a deal to play at MK.( Please fucking someone say its just that)

The longer they stall announcing where they are playing next season the more I fear the worst.

Course they do. You shouldn't make it so obvious.

Great news about the academy. Looks like the Ricoh on a one or two year deal once they get past the hitch. Makes sense really. Don't want to put off any potential new owner by signing the club up to a long term deal.

It's good news about the academy, glad they have let Richard Stevens run with it as he seems to be able to get things sorted and obviously has a good relationship with the Higgs.

What would the general feeling be if wasps kicked us out?

Define "kicked out"..... if I was Wasps, I'd refuse to negotiate until the legals were called off for good, and I'd insist on a clause in the new deal which would terminate CCFC's tenancy if CCFC or any connected companies took up further legal or civil actions in the future. That seems sensible and reasonable to me.

If the two parties genuinely cannot reach agreement then clearly Wasps are not obliged to let us carry on at the Ricoh, would that mean we'd been "kicked out"? No, of course not.

If the talks break down in acrimony and Wasps refuse to agree a new tenancy, then it'll depend on the circumstances but I bet you everything I own that Tim wouldn't take responsibility for that, it'd be everyone else's fault, as bloody usual. In fairness though I do think we'll be at the Ricoh again next season (here's hoping, anyway!).

General outrage. I can imagine some of the ‘yoof’ adding some graffiti to the Ricoh ‘waspz out, Cov woz ere’.

Nah, I'd bet the overall would be applauding them. Trust sniffing their arse rather than saying anything, Jimmy hill way and their council pal with all the twitter accounts going in over drive.

Same as every time something was happening so far.

I just mean they say, we don’t wish to deal with CCFC any further.

It looks positive to me if they are planning to do more events at the Ricoh, hopefully a new deal isn’t far off being announced.

They would be well prepared to say that, the machine would be well cranked up.

Can usually tell a couple of weeks prior to something happening that there's a chance wasps could look bad.

Fingers crossed, the Kevin Keegan thing was a good idea. We need more thinking outside the box like that, same as the kit launch.

It's only bloody complex because of our owners that are more interested in court appearances that the future of Coventry City FC.
