Oh and I'll tell you another thing that totally nullifies Evo's argument, the two blokes in front of me are always having a right old go at Biamou, seemingly not rating him, but today when he was substituted they were both out of their seats giving him rapturous applause.

Watch the highlights.

He showed some lovely touches in that first half and one in particular stood out when he brought the ball down really well and slid a lovely ball through to Shipley, but Shipley overran it.

Lovely touches - lol - I give up. Fact is we created a lot more chances once he went off - a lot more.

Did Shipley expect it though ? This is what I am on about ,

It doesn’t prove anything. Eco and BRR are accurate in their assessment.

It clearly does prove something. Evo was saying some players only have to turn up for those fans to rate them because those fans have a love in for the player.

Clearly not the case today with the two blokes in front of me and for me neither. Those two blokes usually do not rate him at all. They just saw a good performance today though.

Clearly proven to be inaccurate.

Them two were the guys that rang CWR maybe and state that McNulty will stop scoring ? LOL only kidding , let’s just see how it pans out no point in getting any more worked up , Biamou will find his place eventually let’s juat hope we can stay up there

No it proves nothing - stats speak for themselves.

It proves he was wrong.

Clear as day. Impossible to wriggle out of. Fans who don't rate him, rated him today and clearly have no love in for him.
He didn't have to just turn up today. Had he done so these fans would have slated him.

They didn't though and praised him instead. And as I have said, I am not a big fan of Biamou myself either.

No it doesn’t - it’s subjective and proves nothing. The fact you single out a couple of passes as evidence of his ability says it all.

Half the time he hasn’t a clue what he’s doing - that time he got caught offside in the second half was a joke.

We were more effective without him in the second half and this adulation for one of the worst players I can remember is beyond baffling.

He will ultimately be judged on his record .
His record is currently abysmal .

That’s indisputable

You are clearly not listening. Not like you that.;)

My point is that Evo said all some players have to do is to turn up for them to be rated highly and also that some fans just love a player. His notion is that Biamou only got a standing ovation because those fans love him.

I am pointing out that fans who do NOT rate Biamou were giving him an ovation today.

THAT is what I am talking about that is incorrect. You are talking about something else.

I am picking up on that conclusion being inaccurate.

Burge - 7 good distribution. Confident catching. Nothing much to do though
Grimmer - 7 I thought he was the one player to play both games that still had energy. If he could cross and tackle he’d be championship
Stokes - 7 caught out of position a couple of times but definitely getting back to his commanding self
Willis - 8 very impressive
Davies - 7.5. Deserved his header. His passing isn’t great
Dke - 6 limited player but doesn’t give up to the end. Rotation player
Bayliss - 8 so impressive. Make mistakes but for most of the game made space, did the right pass etc. His two shots I think he could have laid it into McNulty for an easier chance. If I was at Ipswich or Brentford and had a spare few hundred thousand I’d test sisu resolve. Lots of improvement to make but so much potential
Doyle - 6 first half passing so poor. Second half I thought he was much better
Shipley - 6.5 first half no energy, second half he started to impose himself and I thought he looked great at times.
McNulty - 8.5 mom. Goal and looked so sharp!
Biamou - 7 not a goal scorer. His overall contribution in running off the ball and chasing defenders makes us a much more effective proposition than with beavon or others

Subs

Haynes na not on long. Stokes has his place back Haynes will have to be happy with a few substitution appearances
Ponti - 6.5 his efforts were great. I thought his touch was improved on the last few appearances. Think he may well get some time against Stoke

Son was mascot the other day what really got me was how young Bayliss, dke etc were and that only Davies, Doyle and stokes were old heads offering advice and encouragement. Robins has to manage teenage ego, rudeness, sneakiness etc etc and get the best out of athletes at a time when they are inconsistently performing

The other thing was the camaraderie. The final thing was Bayliss is a confident young man. Much more so than ponti, Stevenson or dke

We need Kelly for the second half of the season but if Bayliss drops out I think the team will suffer. Could Doyle, Kelly and Bayliss be incorporated? I reckon Bayliss could play in the number 10 role.

You can't give Biamou 7, you simply can't and thousands of fans today were wrong to praise him.

That’s not true. We were under pressure as soon as he went off until the sending off because we lost the outlet that he provides.

I'd be interested to see the opinion of Nazon from the people who dislike Biamou.

Funnily enough since Duck last started we've won 4 out of 5.

Otis and I seem to be on the same wavelength that while we don't think Biamou is a world-beater, the side seems to perform better with Biamou starting ahead of Ponticelli, Nazon and Beavon.

It's not rocket science.

He may not be the true answer, but is the best option we have at the moment.

The other week we were clueless until we brought Biamou on and in at least another game or two, lost our way a bit when he went off.

That's because the opposition were throwing more men forward in the second half chasing a goal, so of course we were creating more chances.

Ponticelli did nothing of note, lost the ball a few times, didn't really contribute to any attacks.

If we did create more chances it certainly wasn't because Biamou went off.

So, to sum up.
We need a big physical presence up front. Biamou is the only option currently at the club, so he gets the shirt by default, regardless of the fact that he can’t score. (But he does put a shift in, and offers us more than not having a big unit up front)
The transfer window is now open, so we can expect the imminent arival of another big striker, at which point Biamou drops down to the bench.
End of.
So now can we put the arguments to bed.

He put us up a gear or two when he came on, gave the defenders no time on the ball and forced them to misplace a few passes, others also started closing down a lot more following his introduction. He was a necessary substitution at that point in the game.

Ok let’s end the argument

Biamou 0 goals 0 assists in the league this season .

There is no argument to be had
Well that's bollocks, he assisted for Jones first game of the season, and assisted one against Luton. He's also had a hand in a number of other goals this season.
