Just had to have a look at the FB comments. Some are truly amazing. I’ve had to leave a couple of responses as they annoyed me that much!

Also, Jodi Jones is with an ‘I’ chaps...not ie or y!

I have said a few times Stevenson was too lightweight for this division he looked scared most of the time boy against men...good luck to him at his 'New' club he has hardly played so apart from numbers he won't be missed here

That's the thing, worlds away from Bayliss who on his debut got stuck in in the centre of midfield and got stuck in when he needed to.

Stop being pedantic! Yes, yesterday was deadline day but it’s part of the overall transfer window.

We don’t measure the success of the window on one day, do we?

Honestly wasn't being pedantic, weeman.

The title of the thread was Coventry Deadline Day and so I said 1 in and 1 out and it was you who took the time out to correct me.

Wasn't being pedantic at all and was just replying in the right thread to say we had 1 in and 1 out on deadline day, which was obviously correct. It didn't need correcting.

Ben Stevenson has not really contributed to us like Maddison did. We won't even realise he has gone.

Stevenson isn't in the same class as Maddison and the fact that he has been loaned out to a L2 club and not even a L1 club is funny. Personally I don't think he will make it into the big time. Club doesn't need players with a poor attitude or ones who think they are entitled.

Stevenson i think will make it as a top championship in 3/4 years time.

League 2 football doesnt suit his game at all definately when we play on awfull pitch. He has the ball striking abilty to score wonder goals....he doesnt score tap ins.

Very very good technical player. Wolves imo have done their homework. Will watch his career with interest (sell on clause) good luck.

Jodie!

Nah, on FB, there was too many to choose from Nick. A lot of morons with no idea.

My favourites are the ones who don't realise undisclosed transfers are pretty much the norm for most clubs in League 1, 2 and some in the Championship and think it's a massive conspiracy.

Would think people who shout and shout but clearly know nothing would be a bit embarrassed, it's like me going to a conference about Star Trek and shouting and ranting when I have no idea about any of them. That's how they look constantly.

I think Burge is improving season on season. He doesn’t kick badly every game but has admittedly been on a bad run kicking wise since the Exeter mistake. Prior to that game he has had a long run where his kicking was okay. I think he is a target for some people who ignore the good pieces of goalkeeping he is responsible for and focus on his mistakes. Two mistakes by him have cost us games this season I would say, Forest Green and Exeter.
All mistakes are pointed out that players make. But Burge gets defended more than anyone else. Yes he makes saves. But that is what goalkeepers are supposed to do.

Have you ever tried driving nearly 350 miles and 6 hours home without stopping after something like the Exeter game? It does your bloody nut in. Yet I am supposed to ignore it. Yet those who defend him frequently pick up on mistakes by others that don't cost goals and don't cost games and points. And when it doesn't cost us points then it doesn't matter at all.

Post #664 Otis...you quoted the CCFC tweet which said transfer window, not transfer day...

Anyway, have a good day chap.

Right, well I honestly didn't spot that. I thought that said transfer business for the day was concluded and my reply was based solely on the fact the thread title was Deadline Day.

Honestly wasn't trying to be pedantic.

Now you've made me feel like I should go and put my head in the gas oven.

I had high hopes for Stevenson but when he got his chance at Accrington it looked to me like he was hiding. Getting in positions that were not passable to, instead of finding space and wanting the ball.

Perhaps he was making a point that he didnt want to be stuck on the right?

Wrong attitude.

Stevenson - good luck to him. Some people will slag anyone off for wanting a better club, and wolves are indeed soon to be a prem team.

Having said that , he did go off the boil...... so maybe a good deal all round. You do wonder if he’ll ever get a game at wolves though. If we had to sell him to keep Bayliss then I’d do that in a flash.

It really annoys me when people jump to the conclusion that it was undisclosed because SISU did not want to say that they sold him for a lower than hoped for fee.

It might be that Wolverhampton Wanderers did not wish to disclose how much they paid for a player who could not get in to a 4th division team, and is being kept out by players who are younger than him

Absolutely baffles me

A guy on twitter going on about "face the facts" "do the maths", when asked about the facts and the maths the reply is "they are just sayings", when asked further absolutely no idea. Just aimless ranty shit, it's really embarrassing so many fucking morons go on and on when they have no idea. Other morons then listen and believe first morons and it goes from there.

It baffles me why these cretins never seem to consider the player might want to join a team destined for the Premiership on a bigger salary.

It's embarrassing. The fact it then seems to breed between them all and grow and they all sit and get angry about it makes it worse. Absolute morons.

Considering Dele Alli commanded a fee of 5m, and we sold Wilson for 3m, I don't think that's 'next to nothing'. And this was off the back off one blistering season, before that season he'd shown little evidence he'd be any good, in fact, Pressley had said in a preseason game he 'wanted to rip up his contract there and then'. £3m was a fair price for him.

The timing of the Maddison deal pissed me right off, but I think in hindsight it may be a good deal, and at least we got him back on loan. I think his performances dipping after that transfer was in line with the general performances of the team as opposed to the individual transfer itself.

That’s bollocks, Conor Washington went from Peterborough to QPR that summer for 5 million and he’s well below Wilson’s level. Tottenham got Ali for a bargain £5mill because they paid cash upfront and not in installments. We should have got at least £5m for Wilson.

Yeah will do his bank balance wonders for now, he wants to keep up with Thomas and harries etc getting some more money.

Gone the wrong way about it though. He couldn't get in our team, that's genuinely on performances he was behind.

Will be interesting in three years or so to see if any of Stevenson, Harries or Thomas have played for their respective clubs first teams.

Stevenson blathered on about it being a move to a massive club, think opinions may differ on that, and was moving to a great standard of development football. So good that they fucked him straight off to Colchester. Wonder how they will feel when Dad rings in sick for him.

I was sorry to see Ben leave and think that we will really miss him if we go up the leagues over the next couple of seasons. Having said that, he might well have been one of the players Robins was having a pop at about their attitude. Parents moaning all the time certainly wouldn't have helped either. Maybe it was time to let him move on.

Check how many shots on target we have against us. That is the reason why our defence is so good.

Just had a look actually.

In 24 league games he has played, the opposition has had more shot on targets half the time.

So the ‘no one has shots against us he just has to stand there that’s why he looks good’ isn’t a very strong argument if you decide to look at the stats
