More discussions. As I said one of many steps. You can take the lazy route of missing the point if you want but changing the game to protect clubs and supporters is going to be a long journey.
I know that you’re reply is only going to leave me with one response so I’ll get it out of the way now and save myself the bother later.

I fully grasp the point, are the discussions all related then and leading on from one to the other and being taken to the next levels? What is expected to be the next step after today and how will it progress?
The deal being......... and then give the new owners the "already agreed" deal.

Caught a bit of it on ITV News last night, who was it that said they couldn't really help as it was a private matter between CCFC and Wasps?
Ironically, the bloke presenting the news also said "what will this actually achieve" and the other woman said "it gets people talking about it" and didn't really say what it would achieve.

Looking at this they aren't fan owned but it limits how of a club can be owned by a single person or entity

The only thing it can achieve is to keep people talking about it and to make sure the CCFC case is not forgotten. Which was really the purpose. It succeeded in that. Will it achieve a solution no, but keeping quiet wont either
From what I was told it was suggested that if the mediation was not successful then all parties could well be hauled before the Digital, Culture, Media, & Sport Committee to explain themselves.
Thing is does Seppala, or Wasps for that matter, have to pay much attention to it..... probably not
In all honesty despite the public utterances I don't think anyone believes it achieves anything other than not letting CCFC be forgotten

They cannot compel anybody to attend. Ashley went because failure to do so would have damaged Sports Direct. He resisted for quite some time.
Summoning powers

What exactly would having them in front of a committee achieve? None of this will make any difference. The council not selling to wasps might have. Sisu selling might. Talking about it for 'attention' and to not be forgotten is futile.

One was the minister I think (I only caught a bit of it to see who she was) who said it was pretty much a private matter, the other was the news bloke asking the person reporting on it what it would achieve.
What does knowing the history mean? Does it mean if somebody asks knowing the history it would achieve something different to if they didn't know?

Mark Pawsey MP for Rugby got involved. Not saying it was down to me however I did write to him as soon as PM’s started talking about our predicament asking him to get involved with the early day motions and he promptly wrote back confirming he would and he seems to have kept his interest past that so fair play to him.

I replied. You chose to ignore it. I explained how this is one step of many. You can if you choose to pay attention to how it’s evolved in Westminster and see a progression. It’s gone from one or two MP’s raising it in parliament to early day motions to being discussed in Parliament to who knows where. Maybe just maybe all parties will be asked to Parliament to explain themselves as has happened to Sports Direct, BHS and more recently Carillon personnel, surely (although probably not) even you would welcome that? Joy having a grilling and being asked some meaningful questions, Anne Lucas having a grilling and being asked some meaningful questions.
Thank god you wasn’t a woman in the time of the suffragette movement or a black person living in America during the civil rights movement. What’s the point would have been your response failing to realise that it wasn’t a single act that changed things it was a collective.

To be fair no one put the windows in at the council house as you claimed would have happened if it had happened in Leeds. So using your own yard stick you would think that you should be agreeing with Italia not disagreeing. Mind you, you are the king of duplicity so it’s hardly surprising that you’re being dismissive even though in a roundabout sort of a way you’ve already made the same point yourself.

no, Italia is the unofficial spokesman for the whole populus of Coventry. If I'm right in m assumption he doesn't even live in the city then it's quite an achievement.

Unfortunately, all this action from MPs is too little too late. Where were they when:
1. The heavily indebted club sold its home without a spade having gone in the ground at the new site nor any funding for its construction being secure
2. The heavily indebted club sold its stake in ACL for a paltry £2m (repaying debt to Derek Higgs et al should not be considered as part of the price)
3. The council forced ACL into a 50 year lease loaded with £21m debt
4. The club was forced into a takeover by SISU, with the express approval of the council due to the imposition of an arbitrary deadline by one Geoffrey Robinson
5. On the return of the club to the Ricoh, the council decided to sell the Ricoh to London Wasps rugby club despite the eminent threat to livelihood of both of the city's existing football and rugby clubs
6. Wasps rugby club leveraged the Arena with an even bigger debt to 3rd parties, ultimately putting to bed any lingering chance of CCFC (under new owners) realistically being able to buy into the stadium and assuring minimal investment in the site for the foreseeable future
