Unbelievable. The team started well today, then a sending off and a huge deflected goal against us. Then a performance of great character and a deserved draw. How can we have such negativity after a performance that made me proud.

Just got in.

I havnt read the posts, and I’m not going to.not surprised at the negative ones. Probably from those who never went.

That was as good an away performance as any this season, considering our last few games and the run they are on.

Really proud of the team. To a man superb, there’s not doubt we would have battered them with 11.

Burge had one save to make today and was superb today.

That’s a massive points. And the results that teams above us and some below like Crawley and Colchester just goes to show anything can happen in this league.

The bottom 6/8 teams including Cheltenham away at Luton. Well done.

No easy games. The teams above us will lose plenty as I’ve been saying.

Imo anything but promotion is a massive failure this season. Even if we finish in the play offs and not win them. He needs to be given until the Summer or until it’s mathematically impossible though. The current run of form is not acceptable but it would do no good sacking him now.

Note that the previous manager who everybody said was rubbish and always loses form in the 2nd half of the season is currently sitting pretty at the top of League One.

Don't know what you think but my conclusion is that this is budget related, we have too little and he has one that's adequate to achieve promotion.

His budget is the highest by miles in that league. Sitting pretty having relegated them last season.

Did you see the game today? We were by far the better team. I just don’t get the criticism on a thread like this after today’s performance.

It’s not a one game season. Forest green completed a double over us this season.

Yep and we were awful in those games. Just don’t get the criticism right after today’s game. Take it you didn’t see the game. If you had done, even you would have had to heap praise on Haynes.

One hand doesn’t make a season

Haynes has stolen a living from this club for years.

Blackburn's budget is the biggest in league one by a country mile.

It’s not a one game season, no, it’s a 46 game season, but anyone who was there today knows that criticism of today’s result is totally wide of the mark.

No one is criticising the one game are they?

I think the thread started in that vein, although the OP jumped the gun by posting at half time! There have been some negative posts on here, which seems unfortunate to those of us who witnessed a fighting performance against the odds today.

The result is good. The problem is the games we’ve failed in means we are playing catch up and the margin for error is shrinking rapidly.

He should go if we don’t get promoted. It’s an abysmal failure.
And who do you suggest comes in to do a better job than he and all those who have gone before?. I'm guessing he should be sacked on principle irrespective of a complete lack of suitable replacement candidates to get us out of this division.

It’s worked so well for us before as well, right? Chop and change managers repeatedly whilst we slide down the leagues.

Why not try something new and give someone a fair shot rather than the reactionary approach which has never worked for us before?

Has he shagged your mrs or something or are you glen in disguise ? Lets see where we end up at the end of the season before making judgement.....Think positive my friend...
It' about the 3rd or 4th thread he's started on the same subject in recent weeks. This one as baseless in fact as the others.

Boy, we have some dickhead "fans" If it was up to some of these numpty's we would have a new Manager every time we conceded a goal.

People just really love a moan and are looking for scapegoats the whole time. It’s really tiring.

Here's one.

Even if we finish 10th this season I’d keep Robins for next season. We need to build, he is the man to do it. 10th this season would be a failure obviously but we’ve played the majority of the season without our two best players and are still up there challenging.

Give him 3 years to see where he takes us.

I generally like Robins but we are a L2 team and by default, have a manager with flaws, players who are either wanting to get into the game at a higher level or cheap salary ones, the manager is only a few games away from the pressure of the sack.

Personally, Robins has always liked to play through the middles and be cautious, grinding teams down and playing on the break, did it well with Goldy in his first stint. Was hoping McNulty would do the same.

He doesn’t do the second or third options well when the first style changes, the teams comfortable at the top have pace and width and that exposes teams at this level. I don’t know the budget or what he was allowed to do but it’s not the perfect balance for options in games. I know he has had injuries and you could argue jones was the one wide man but we needed 2 or 3 to cover those injuries.

Overall though, I would stick with him for now and into next season. If we win our two games in hand we are in the play off’s, this club hasn’t achieved top 6 for 48 years, it’s not easy for any manager to break this.

And spare a thought for the players, how can they interpret his “squeaking”, must be very difficult for them.
