Or shattering the illusion once again.

This is the bloody City after all. Be just typical of us to lose on Saturday and be back to square one.

Fingers crossed however that this is indeed the start of a winning, unbeaten run.

Yep, the same thoughts crossed my mind. I think ‘Typical City’ is the default thought for most of us when things seem to be improving/going well.

However, March is my birthday month and I’m predicting it’s going to coincide with an unbeaten run....

Telling thing for me was McNulty still chasing down defenders in stoppage time. It's that extra bit of fitness that has helped us grind out the result with 10 men on Saturday and keep pressing till the end tonight. Keep doing that against a Lincoln ripe for the taking and good things will happen.

That would be Barnet in beetween

Ah, that one slipped my mind. We should be aiming for 4 points minimum leading up to the Luton game. Then I think it’s probably advantage us: we won 3-0 at their place, we’re home on a Tuesday night and it’s the kind of the game we usually win this year...

Just to clarify; it was a tongue in cheek comment.

It’s a great result and in the space of a few days we all have a reason to be excited again.

I’m very much looking forward to Saturday and us returning to the play off places....
I don't expect a win to get us back in, but two or three on the bounce....That's totally different

I am.not so sure i would blame the cup

Could be argued the 5th round tie gave us a week to recharge from a bad run
This season we have played 9 cup games (EFL & FA cup) this has to be a distraction and take its toll on both to management and players. But IMO it's not just the added games, but making it to the 5th round of the FA cup will be the single biggest cause if we fail to make the playoffs, without a doubt. I have seen it many times over the years where lower league teams who have a good cup run either miss out on promotion or get relegated. I think we will make the play offs but seriously have my doubts that we would if we had progressed any further in the FA cup.

Or even better. The next 4 games are all winnable fixtures. We’ve already beaten 3/4 already and Barnet at home really should be a win (we’ll up losing just that game now).

This is such a crazy league. We’re 8pts off Wycombe in 3rd with a game in hand, if we match or even better their result, we could be in a position to put pressure on whoever is 3rd place with a win over Luton.

I think we need to stay unbeaten this next 4 games, if we get 2/3 wins, we’re right up there again. Madness.

This win is for all the believers like me.
Nothing wrong in believing but sometimes a few negative comments make the manager and players think that they can't get away with under performing.
Needs to be timed right as during play seems to have the reverse effect.
Similarly protesting at the owners at the right time makes them know what they are doing is unacceptable.

I just think we as a fan base just don’t see the bigger picture at times. Even through the slump, we were one game away from catching up. We dropped from 3rd to 7/8th in one week. It’s such a close contest from 9th to 3rd or even 2nd. No team can afford to drop points.

Perhaps the skid of results has kicked us up a gear? Maybe the last 2 game are a turning point. Either way, the next 4 games are all winnable. We need to kick on against Lincoln because we’ve rode our luck with two penalties in two games now.

I think we should line our midfield up like this from now:

Bayliss—Kelly—Doyle—Reid

I say Reid because despite him being a tit in preseason, he’s probably the nearest thing to replacing Jones (we’ve undoubtedly missed him) as we’re gonna get. A natural winger, and all 4 midfielders today are central midfielders. For whatever reasons, fitness or form reasons, Robins doesn’t fancy the loanees so Reid should get a run in the side.

Nah not really.

I caught 2nd half vs Colchester wiped floor with them. Actually played better 2nd half then than we did while game today.

Played well vs Brighton considering opposition. Played well vs mansfield.

I'm basing my judgements as I've said numerous on what I've seen.

What are you basing it on.?
