Pretty sure the game at their place was a big game too. We could have overtook them in the table and pushed for third with a win (plus game in hand).

It’s irrelevant as it’s been and gone and was not live on TV so any incident can be highlighted by the media

It does because it showed we obviously learnt from that game.

If only we had been like it against Lincoln and Notts last time!

Yes great if we lose our best centre half for the return

I still don't get this live TV argument.

If there's footage there's footage.

No it has to follow a time frame and process around the referee report which in reality means it’s live games that get the vast majority of these incidents reported

That's right. The fact that it was a live game is not relevant, other than the fact that there may be more angles of an incident available.
I did say on the ratings thread last night that Davies probably hadn't heard the last of it and it would finish his season. The only thing that would prevent a ban, as I see it, is if the referee says he saw it and didn't deem it a problem. Given how poor he was last night, I fear the worst here.

The referee seeing it rule has been abolished

Nevertheless, they are always reluctant to 're-referee' games so if it has been dealt with in the opinion of the referee, it is his best chance of getting away with it. As I said though, I fear the worst.

While looking for a video of it I came across this...

So maybe he does have a nasty streak in him...

A silly little girl sending out these messages to the players and the league they must be desperate to get him banned, if they look back through the game I am sure a few of their challenges could be scrutinised

Just seen the Davis stamp nothing in that but I would rather he had done it higher up as Duffy is the only player I have seen who can out moan Michael Doyle, I can’t see it ending 11 a side there as their knuckle draggers will have a few scores to settle.

It's certainly not as bad as some made out and you can hardly call it a stamp.

If Davis said it was an accident and Duffy has accepted that, then that should be the end of it.

I hadn’t seen the Rhead one before that is a very cowardly thing to do and then acted like he just back into him

Notts County have asked the FA to look into Davies' stamp on Duffy and his kick out at Forte.

it is the one position where we have 2 quality replacements on the bench
While Davies was our best player - if they pursue it I do not think it will be to their advantage

I agree - Rod McDonald and Willis available - fairly sure I remember earlier in the season when we had a period with only 2 centre backs and were looking at having to use full backs if anything happened to them. If Notts County do get him banned, I will travel on Friday with an added bit of fire in my belly, as I hope will the rest of the team.

It would be funny if we asked them to look at the Ameobi incident (although I bet there is a 'time lapsed' issue. If Forte was out, and they couldn't play Ameobi, that would be a case of karma.

Did forte not swing his arm out first, I would think if he gets banned the boys will be well up for it.

Why what's he done? He didn't play!

Just in case that wasn't irony/sarcasm, he's referring to the April game at their place where Ameobi whacked Rod in the balls!

If a notts county player had done that would be crying. I mean ffs youndont like shirt pulling but a stamp is ok hahha

Just admit you are bias and it clouds your judgement
