OK then, why not a 'Should I go to kenilworth Castle by myself?' thread?
This thread ultimately seems utterly meaningless. That's not to denigrate feeling uncomfortable going places. I, for example, can go to castles by myself but, strangely, can't do the cinema by myself.
However, it ultimnately boils down to:
Do I want to go?
IF wanting to go > feelings of discomfort THEN Go
IF wanting to go < feelings of discomfort THEN Don't go.
What the event is, is pretty irrelevant to that.
It is relevant though I would say. I would totally disagree with what you have said there.
Example. I was absolutely fine and comfortable sitting by myself at Wembley, but wasn't at all comfortable going down to Wembley alone on the coach.
It depends on what the scenario is and with a gay festival, because I don't know what to expect I don't know how comfortable I would feel.
I could decide to go on holiday by myself and wouldn't know how comfortable I would be until I got there.
If I went to the pride thing and didn't feel comfortable that would kind of spoil my day and I would be sad.
Sometimes you encounter reinforcement that you are alone and that can be saddening.
I am a very social person, but circumstance has now made me a non social person in many ways.
