Who should be moved on? (9 Viewers)

Just looking at the squad and wondering who people think should be moved on this year despite being under contract...?

I reckon:
Haynes (small fee)
Ponticelli (loan)
Beavon
Vincenti
McDonald

I'd keep McDonald and potentially Vincenti as well. Played in his right position, he might be more effective (as back up).

Haynes - Release by mutual.
O’Brien - I’d like us to get a better keeper than Burge and keep Burge as backup.
Beavon - Release by mutual.
Camwell - Loan L2
Maycock - Loan L2
Finn - Loan L2
Addai - Release

Just given Addai a new deal agree with the rest though

Vincenti should be kept - he's been carrying an injury and played out of position. he will come good if he's 100%

Beavon needs to go or go on coaching staff. He is never going to play in the first team now.

Debatable too if concrete has much of a future here except on the bench, I could see him moving on unless Willis is sold. There will probably be a bit of horse trading between now and the new season kick off.

I think everyone else will be kept, Robins has already done the releases.

Where has this Vincenti playing out of position rumour come from. He was always an attacking wide player at Rochdale.
Although he did play out wide for Dale quite frequently he was always more effective when played in the middle. He played centre mid for Aldershot as well. Also played up front for Dale quite a few times.

He might have played in a few different positions but he was primarily a right winger which is where he has played for us.

Thankfully, most of the 'deadwood' is being let go with contract expirations. Beavon needs to moved on pronto, he'll be on pretty decent wages you'd think and isn't even making the substitute bench atm. Vincenti is a maybe, and he could possibly still play a minor squad role and adds a degree of depth, even if it's for cup games, especially since we're still light on wide options. If we could get a bit a money for either Stokes or Haynes, I'd be inclined to let one of them go because neither really stood out as the clear-cut first choice 1 option as left back in L2.

Are you mad or is it SunStroke!
McDonald & Ponticelli have both GOT to stay!
Probably agree with the others though (especially Haynes who infuriates every time Ive seen him).

How can you say that he’s just a kid. . Have you seen him play ?
A kid? He’s 20. That’s a year younger than how old Reice Charles-Cook was when he was our 1st choice keeper in L1 and Addai hasn’t made a senior appearance for us yet has he?

To answer your question, no I haven’t seen him play. But at this moment in time I can’t see him breaking into the squad (he’s made the bench once according to his stats). Robins obviously thinks enough of him to have offered him a new deal, but with our GK options at present and possible need recruitment (in my opinion) in the future I can’t see him getting any closer to the first team squad.

The thing with Vincenti is that he's the wrong side of 30, had spent a long time out with injury and then played a bit part last season. I don't think he's physically up to it any more personally, even though he was reasonably effective when he played.

I can't see where Vincenti is going to fit in, same with Beavon.

Need to lose a Left back or 2 as well, currently have 4 left backs.

Think McDonald could go as well.

Although i like him as a player, i can't argue with that really. I also think there will probably be league 2 teams interested in taking him off our hands. I would like him to stay and flesh out the squad but if he went it wouldn't be a big loss either

Yes, always thought he looked good against us for Dale tbh but he's noticably less athletic now!
