Are moped sales as high in Germany? Is it down to the fact that money in Germany is more evenly distributed therby reducing the desire to carry out such crimes? Is it that Germany is doing so well out of the EU that reduces that desire?

I don’t know. I have asked twice on here if someone knows what it is that is different in the UK which has caused these attacks. No one has yet answered. We have never had these things as long as I have been coming to Germany or have lived in Germany. Nothing to do with the EU as it is now. Was always safer here. I got mugged by skinheads in the East at reunification, but that was because of the collapse of communism. It created a level of violence because of the difference in living standards and high unemployment in the East. It also increased right wing violence which is still higher in the East ; where AfD has more support.

Didn’t the survey conclude that the increase in violent crime was related to unemployed migrants who were responsible for 92% of the crime in the area in looked at that was deemed violent?

Where did you read that? Which area was that? If true at all, it would be a part of a city or small town at most. There is no „area“ like you describe. Name the source please.

Here is one about violent crime and breach of the peace incidents in certain parts of Berlin:
Linskradikale in Berlin: Jung, männlich, arbeitslos - und wohnt noch bei den Eltern

It lists the increase of left wing and right wing political crimes and which „areas“ they take place in in Berlin.

This is different to the UK growth crimes of acid, Moped and knife attacks.

Well no, but because leavers told us we were going to be free from the EUSSR and Merkel’s 4. Reich. All over social media. Just surprised that they are not out there celebrating our freedom.
Well maybe that goes to show just how few people actually bought into the leave camp's populist excuses. All the remain camp is doing is wishfully thinking that constantly referring to them will excuse themselves from a dire campaign and the actual result.

Edited to make more sense for what I was trying to say!

No Mart. I don't know...hope that pleases you.
It's the same with why do we drink more alcohol than the Germans? Maybe the two are linked?

And what constitues a 'left' or 'right' wing crime??? More numbers without real meaning. I guarantee that because generally I would not remain quiet in the face of someone suffering racist abuse, I am as likely as the abused to be a victim of 'right' wing crime. But as the victim I wouldn't give a toss for political standpoints whatsoever...I would simply hurt & want them caught

Typical left wing crimes are those quoted in the article to do with occupied houses in the Rigaer Str Berlin where a group of lefties have regularly attacked the police and set expensive cars on fire. Typical right wing crimes are, as mentioned here, attacks on refugees and refugee homes.

These have real meaning for the people attacked by these groups based on political ideology.

The victims are usually innocent and do give a toss about being singled out on a political basis.

Martfacts are supported facts as opposed to some on here.

You never support anything with facts or evidence but link opinion pieces in newspapers

When backed into a corner you adopt tinfoil stance and ramble about “it’s the Russians” “it’s Bannon” “it’s trump”

Christian Pffeifer a leading German criminologist led the study commissioned by the German government by the way

Link. Opinion piece? The statistics are listed. Your comments are not even linked to facts

Why do you feel people need or should feel the need to celebrate it? Because Farage proclaimed it? You seem to take more notice of him than even his staunchest supporters

There were a couple of elite Tory windbags calling for it on TV as well. Trying to declare it an 'independence day' is crass and offensive to countries that have actually been colonised.

Yet in a warped way they try and make out that Britain was somehow help hostage by some kind of dictatorship that it was very influential in and helped shape.

So the government in Germany didn’t commission a report into violent crime and the results were as I stated? Ok

Surely a 'red' would be more likely to be anti-EU?

When have I been backed into a corner? And... it is known that Putin employs trolls, Banks led you up the garden path ( he said so as well ) and that Bannon, Trump‘s advisor is messing with European Right Wing Parties to push his agenda in Europe.. it is all recorded fact

Or are they just opinions stated as facts?

I don’t know what areas Grendel is referring to, but have never heard of whole large areas of criminal migrants ... I cannot prove that there are none, just that Grendel should say where they are. Give me a link.

No it’s not recorded fact at all that this had anymore influence than the massive push of fear tactics employed by the remain campaign and a government leaflet that went to every household - banks led me up the garden path? I’ve despised Europe for years - it’s corrupt, employs dreadful people at its helm, despises people having opinions, employs bully boy tactics if anyone stands against the machine and desires unified fiscal control. I wouldn’t trust junker any more than the parasite predecessor Rumpy Pumpy, Tusk is a vile creature who isn’t fit to run a whelk stall.

No I don’t need anyone to form an opinion I’ve had of this disgusting empire for the last two decades thanks

No one is stealing them and bringing them here against their will. They come here of their own free will because it’s an opportunity to better themselves. Slaves didn’t profit from the work they did. Frankly it’s a crass, lazy and stupid comparison to make.

Read it again I said 21st century slave labour, not the slave trade. Companies take advantage of cheap labour as they will do it for less and increase profits. But as long as the serve you your coffee, wait on you in a restaurant and pick your fruit you are all good with that.

They are traveling halfway across Europe. If they’re all right with that why should I have a problem? They were free to come here and do these jobs and free to leave again. In the case of fruit pickers it’s the same people coming and going back every season. Do you think that they feel that they are taken advantage of or do you think they see it as an opportunity to help improve their lives.

There is in fact a real 21st century slave industry happening and these people aren’t it by any stretch of the imagination so again it’s a crass, lazy and stupid comparison to make.

What these people do and claim to do is recorded fact. Whether it influenced you or others cannot be proved, but you can be sure they think it did otherwise why bother?

That you hate the EU puts you in the same category as the old right wing Tories, and funnily enough, the old Bennite left. Do you live in Tonbridge Wells?

And when we leave the EU? What happens then? Hotel and pub prices rise. If you don’t want to pay the prices, they go out of business. So what have you won?

Are you linking Brexit Britain to the weather and football results? RedMart is a new one. I am a self employed small business person. Hardly red.

It's going to be priceless when levels of migration remain around the same and the ordinary people are still getting shafted with a shit deal from those at the top.

At least then some might realise that a lot of the country's woes are actually due to actions closer to home.

London is one of most corrupt cities on the planet due to the financal centre. Only a couple of years ago it was the drug money laundering capital of the world.

HSBC pays record $1.9bn fine to settle US money-laundering accusations

London: the money laundering capital of the world

London is the world's leading city for laundering drug money | Metro News

Yet we still get the usual mind-bending hypocrisy from Brexiteers without looking closer to home at our own problems, the vast majority of which are very much due to British policies.

No. Apparently the government didn’t. He is the head of an institute of criminology in Lower Saxony. Lower Sacony did.

His report is contested. The report is about whether young Muslim men are more likely to commit violent crimes than non religious young men. His opponents say his figures are too small to paint a true picture. He denies that and says young Muslims are more likely to commit violent crime.

I cannot see the areas which Grendel is referring to. Pity he cannot post a link to the report.
