Going to keep asking this every week until I get an answer (20 Viewers)

Why would anyone think we are going to get an away win this season?

That is now 10 defeats on the trot and 7 goals from 17 games.

From what I saw today, we didn't look like scoring much at all ....... yet again.

Is it just Sky Blue tinted glass thinking?

I cannot see anything that makes me think we will win away this season. I actually think we may just lose every single one.

We won;t score when we play it across the defence, we won't win while we do the same at 2-0 down.

You said in another post in your predictions you put in a shock result. Those were your own words. So, we could get a shock result. Stranger things have happened. Although in my predictions I had us picking up 1 more point away from home.

We did look like scoring - when we were one on one with the keeper from 12 yards, but then clingan strolled up, and we all sighed.

agree with you Otis.. its weird really our approach play is better than other years but we are so toothless up front and never look capable of hitting the onion bag.. now equally worrying we are looking piss poor at the back... dont think we,ll get out of it ..hope i am wrong but if we do it will be because the others fook it up

We had good chances to get a result today, unfortunately we haven't got players with the mental resolve to put the ball away or you could possibly substitute the word "resolve" with ability.

Must be SISU's fault that we had a player who has missed a couple of penalties take a penalty when we had a player who scored 2 in a game a couple of weeks ago stood there.

I did say that I put in some shock results and I did indeed put in some shock results.

You know why I didn't put any away shock results for the City?

You have to score a goal to win a game.

Case closed.

I think it is now obvious to everyone that there isn't going to be a single away win this season. If, somehow, we did manage to take it down to Southampton, I wouldn't fancy our chances.

We cannot rely purely on our current home record lasting out until the end of the season. I don't believe that is going to happen.

If we need to win at St Mary's to stay up, will the players bottle it yet again??

There are worse teams than Leicester to face away from home yet. Conventional wisdom says we will get one win away somewhere!
Maybe likely a draw or two. If we keep winning at home that may be enough!

We have shit squad with a few decent players but not nearly enough to cut it.
AT.....he's doing as much as anybody in his position cOULD do but I SEE RECENTLY THAT THE STRESS HAS GOT TO HIM.
THERE IS NO LEADERSHIP AT THE CLUB, THE OWNERS ARE IN THE WRONG GAME AND CLUELESS TO BOOT.
The history of the club has created a culture of defeatism which affects everybody, fans and players alike.

There are fans who think that the manager is the problem and that the squad needs a new face to turn up. This is utterly delusional.

We are distinctly below average......the kids are ok and could go on to achieve much but not at this sink club. I hope that answers your question.(s).

Sorry, but 7 goals in 17 games.

SEVEN goals. That is nothing short of pathetic.

If we weren't scoring at home I would simply say we weren't good enough, but we are scoring goals at home. It all points to tactics.

Yes but we had the possession...

That makes everything better then, has anybody told Thorn yet you don't get points for passing it around the defence??

I still say as I did early in the season this Thorn/Harrison partnership is weak and one needed to go back then. More recently I have called for Thorn to go too. More convinced than ever that should have happened. When Harrison proclaims he and Thorn call each other and share the issues then now I know Thorn has not got the balls to get rid of Harrison as he thinks he's OK. This double act are making poor decisions all round. No good just saying Thorn has had a team ripped apart and SISU are to blame but these two should be doing better than what they are WITH what they have got.

Bollocks. The team is poor, the squad is worse. The tyurd polishers are busy bogging up what, exactly. Lesta didn't have to break sweat to win today......
Last week it was Thorn, now its Harrison.
Pathetic.

I could not be less suprised that a loss led to immediate comments about Thorn's ineptitude. Such comments rear their head on a huge range of topics, I thought a couple might have a day off since he had been in hospital and was not at the game, but Marty was not even aware this was the case in another thread but was still determined that wouldn't let him off slating him (things do fall at the manager's feet and he has been responsible for play this season, but there is something a shade undignified about that). This curious diversion that if you are pro Thorn, you blame SISU for everything is something of a new one. Can I be explicit, at the risk of repeating myself?

It is not black and white. I do think SISU are predominantly responsible for the farce this season. Shock horror, Thorn takes some of the blame too. Shock horror, some of the players haven't been good enough. Stop mugging off your fellow City fan and try to be objective and reasonable in your comments. It is not your way or the highway, it is a football forum. And it is starting to frustrate me almost as much as the City are. Now, I am warning you...

You will lose me.

Honest.

I'll just fuck off for good.

Then see how you like the internet.

(It'll still be good for wanking, admittedly).

Yes, but by implying that other teams are capable of getting shock results then so should we be, as any result away from home would be a shock. Like I said, I'm not expecting it but it could happen.

I don't think there's any need for loads of posts on how we lost again away - we know we can't win away, we don't need to go OTT. Nobody was expecting anything from today, were they, really? Nothing's really changed league-wise either, apart from Forest. People seem to feed off general negativity though, as if it's something to savour (this isn't aimed at you Otis by the way, just a general observation).
