And I'm so glad we chose the easier path.Better team won.
Not by her hair I hope.I'm going to the City Arms now and dragging the missus.
Fuck me.
Got to say, a lot of that was our fault. And I'm so glad we chose the easier path.
That was a cakewalk.
Better team won.
We really looked like we had never played together as a team in that first half of extra time. It was truly dire stuff. Couldn't even pass to each other.gotta away with it on pens.
folded in extra time - probably worst 30 mins of football since Southgate took over.
Aimless passing around back. mids getting pushed off ball when getting it from defence.
Colombia powerful side who just pushed us around too much. Never a game for Sterling to start.
But don't care - Sweden next
Yep. We just needed to keep our cool and not get involved. We had the game won and nearly lost it.Got to say, a lot of that was our fault.
We weren't playing well, but Colombia weren't threatening. Got involved in argy-bargy when we shouldn't, got ahead and sat back. When Colombia thought to play football they were actually pretty good, but we let them.
I feel 79 at the moment.I'm 29 in August. I honestly don't know if that's the first penalty shootout I've ever seen us win!
That was incredible. He musta seen somethimg as he booked him!No VAR for the headbut then?

We were awful and never tested their keeper in open play. Southgate has to forget his loyalty to sterling - we play with 10 men with him there.
The only solution is retrospective action on it. AND appeals against yellow cards, retrospective bans too where appropriate. There is.
What I don't get is why players do that, when they know it'll be seen.
Then again, if it's just a yellow, why not take one?!?
Spain 1996
Southgate loves Sterling. It's crystal clear, but it's just not happening for him.Agree. Loftus-cheek really should have been playing instead of Sterling
Or are we?We are so deep
It was a disgrace at times and it is clear they don't have to play like that. They looked quite decent when they finally decided to start playing football and attacked us.The only solution is retrospective action on it. AND appeals against yellow cards, retrospective bans too where appropriate.
I was really disappointed with Columbia in the end. They played with style throughout thwir tournament until 30mins in tonight...then lost all the friends they had made!
