Cake and eat it is Boris Johnson‘s phase. Not the EU and not mine. I just quoted it because the EU has made it clear that we are not getting it. Yes, it is pathetic and Johnson only racked off the EU by coining it and saying that is what we want. We are leaving the EU club. That doesn’t alter their rules. The rules stay the same as before and we have to have a deal complying with the rules. That is the expected answer and only answer there is going to be. Why should the 27 change the rules for an ex member? It is strange that you even expected that.

Yes his grandfather was a war criminal. He got tried and found guilty. But then he got pardoned. The reason for this is he had a job they wanted to do. So in other words he had friends in high places that didn't have a problem with getting war criminals off the hook. So yes you are right about that part you glossed over.
But how about the rest of the story. Because you are now making out that is all it is about.
How about explaining how Selmayr got his present position in the EU? It is well known that he is very close to Juncker. The articles I posted on here saying about him were from a couple of years ago. They said how he controls Juncker. They showed how he enjoys being called the names that you didn't like papers calling him. He got a position in the EU that he shouldn't have got as he wasn't even in a position to apply. The job wasn't even available. The job hadn't been advertised. And he can't be removed from the job whatever happens.
Sounds lime Juncker and his job. He has helped billions of tax fraud every year. But they can't look into it. If they did look into it Juncker would be in charge of looking into what Juncker did. And when Juncker applied for his position he was the underdog. Hardly anyone wanted him. So friends in high places again. Most probably Selmayr the puppet master. The same Selmayr that worries your beloved German PM. But she couldn't do anything about it.
And I suppose you will still make out that Germany is still in no way in charge of the EU or benefits more than anyone else from the EU.

And there is the problem. I was all for remain. But the more lies and twisting of words that happened the more I looked into it. The more I looked into it the more I found that I couldn't believe was and had happened. And nothing will change as those that are corrupt or at least dodgy have positions that are hard to take away.

Barnier = Junckers puppet.
Juncker = Selmayrs puppet.
Selmayr = feared by Merkel and most in Germany.
How many articles do you want to read about Selmayr and what he wants from Brexit? Don't you find it strange how he got his position in the EU as negotiations are supposed to be happening?
He doesn't want a deal. He wants to force us to stay in the EU. He wants us to continue paying billions of pounds in each year. He wants to continue shaping the EU how he wants it.
I suppose you will say that I am wrong. Just let me know in which ways I am wrong and I will prove it.
The EU is as dodgy as anything. Yes we benefit in ways. But I am worried about the direction it is going in. And I have said the same countless times.

It's been great to see the emergence of about 10 EU flags alongside the proudly flown Sicilian flag on the seafront here in San Vito Lo Capo. The last time I came here just after the referendum I seem to recall there being only the one.

It was supposed to have already happened in 3 other countries but that doesn't seem to have happened.
There were even arrogant predictions that Ireland would inevitably end up following the UK out due to the success of Brexit, and I recall seeing an article on a Conservative site calling for it to do so to solve the border issue. Farage even went over and campaigned for it earlier this year.
A recent survey returned saying that 92% think Ireland should remain in the EU.
Neither 5Star or La Lega campaigned on leaving the EU, BTW. There is likely to be a proportion of long-term La Lega Nord voters who'd want to leave it but they want to setup their own country entirely.

Yesterday morning you was one of them that wanted to know what I don't like about the EU.
So it was my fault about what Selmayr has done. It is my fault that his grandfather got found guilty of war crimes and then got pardoned so he could start up the secret police in Germany.
Do we need to go into what happened when he was forced to retire because of his age so he took the German government to court so he could continue with his project?
