The Muslim population of the prison reflects that and nothing else. He arrived at the prison when inmates are locked up so how exactly did an inmate slip a letter under his door? Just because there is one exception, it doesn't mean that it is the rule. It wouldn't at all surprise me if that meeting had something to do with his release to be completely honest.

What's coming out is that the trial was rushed and he didn't have time to defend himself properly. Some of us knew this, others choose to ignore it because they were quite happy for him to be banged up regardless.

That speech posted above is pretty interesting, and whilst it is clear the bloke can be a bit of an idiot, one would be a fool not to accept that he has tried to be silenced several times.

This prison sentence he got was almost instantly after he posted a video which was investigating a high number of hit and runs which look like they were terrorist attacks we never heard about, and were swept under the carpet. I don't suppose that was a complete coincidence.

I get a lot of people don't like him, I don't really either. A lot of what he says is true though, and I wish other more reasonable and moderate voices had to balls to speak up, and were allowed to. It would keep debate fairer and cut out the nazi/racist scum who give the rest a bad name.

He didn’t speak to the mainstream because helps his persona of the victim at the centre of a conspiracy. The mainstream also isn’t his platform. They challenge too much. He prefers a media where he doesn’t have to answer questions and will gain a following of the back of his own word.

I have no idea what transcript you've read so I couldn't tell you but the filed judgement for the hearing today states:

we are satisfied that the finding of contempt made in Leeds following a fundamentally flawed process, in what we recognise were difficult and unusual circumstances, cannot stand. We will direct that the matter be reheard before a different judge.

The issue is the technicalities of the process so the trial will be run for a second time.

Interestingly the judge today said that could well lead to an increased sentence so this might not turn out to have been the best course of action. Although it keeps him in the spotlight which I suspect is his main aim.

Then you consider how he was sentenced. Picked up in the morning. Sentenced in the afternoon. No chance for a legal team to put up a defence. Even murderers who admit their guilt get the chance to put a defence together.

So on the one hand an extreme right winger like Bannon can persuade the government to release him but on the other hand they are trying to silence him and perhaps assassinate him - fucking hell!!

There were issues with the way his original trial was conducted, because of that he was released and there will be a retrial, it's as simple as that. I'd imagine he'll be found guilty, (he'll more than likely plead guilty), but won't be sent back to prison as he has already served time. I'd say there's a good chance he's due some compo but I'm not entirely sure how that works.

The judge at the appeal also didn’t question that he’d broke the terms of his suspended sentence from Canterbury so he was always going to do time following what happened at Leeds. It’s only the 10 month sentence handed down for the Leeds offence that’s in question here and that yet could be upheld.
