In this instance the execution of sending him to prison is like me saying I want a dog put down and sending it to a boarding kennel where it gets looked after. Did they not send the memo?

Why would they send him to prison for it to be done when it would just prove everything he says as correct and make him a martyr?

Sorry, you've got carried away. Did I ever say they had tried to kill him this time?

I just said he has been in danger in the past and the judge was aware of that before they unnecessarily rushed him to prison.

It isn't me getting carried away with it, for a change.

I don't think it's the release of him, it's more your and others posts that are getting replied to.

No, some people try to pretend they are not upset by it, but scroll back a few pages and there were borderline celebrations when he was sent down.

All I've said is that there have been attempts on his life in prison before and that there could have been again. That is not factually incorrect whatsoever. It is also not stupid to think there are some people that want him killed. Not only would I expect that would be the thoughts of some on here, but judging by their raging replies, I would say that is also probably pretty accurate too.

There are thousands of people in prison who will have people who want to kill them for various reasons. They could be nonces, owe them money or it's revenge. He isn't a special case because he will have people who want to get at him.

If it's that dangerous for him, why is he even putting himself in a position where he can be sent there?

I'm replying because of people swallowing the exaggerations.

Because he is a bit of an idiot, as I've already said.

As for your first paragraph, you will need to make your own mind up on why it is or isn't a more delicate scenario.

The release of TR has really triggered some people. Nice to see you tried to at least cover that up for half a day.

Triggered what you loon? I said even though I don't like him it's right he's been released you're saying they want to assassinate him! Who's been triggered?
I'm saying no more so you carry on making a fool of yourself.

It's no more delicate than an ex copper, a rapist, child murderer etc getting sent to prison. They get protection too.

If I was worried the authorities wanted to hurt me by putting me in prison then I'd make sure there wasn't a chance they could send me down.

Read my post again, I said 'I've never said Theresa May has tried to have him assassinated'.

Stop reading what you want to read. I've been consistent from the start of this and have been correct when even the secret barrister had to reaslise they were wrong. It's a shame other posters cannot try and at least have some neutral debate rather than going off on one (Nick generally excluded). I'm now also having Tony try to tell me that Woodhill is not a category A prison. I don't know why you think it is me behaving like a fool to be honest, it's pretty one way traffic the other way at the moment.

He went to the euros and got arrested for breaching the peace when he came back, Nick.

They arrested him because his presence might spark anger within a Muslim community. He didn’t do anything.

His mortgage fraud was him lending his BIL a house deposit in which his BIL over-exaggerated how much he earnt (wasn’t this common pre-2008?). Nobody lost a penny. 18 months prison. Some fraud eh.

Former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has been jailed for 18 months for mortgage fraud.

Robinson, 31, from Bedfordshire, who stood down from the EDL last year, was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court after pleading guilty last November.

The fraud amounted to £160,000 over a period of six months.

Judge Andrew Bright QC described him as the "instigator, if not the architect" of some of the frauds.

Passing sentence, the judge told him: "This was an operation which was fraudulent from the outset and involved a significant amount of forward planning."

He described Robinson as a "fixer" who had introduced others to fraudulent mortgage broker Deborah Rothschild.

"I am satisfied you took part in a thoroughly dishonest course of conduct," he told him.

The BBC? Really?

"Robinson was accused of conspiring with others to obtain a mortgage by misrepresentation from the Abbey and Halifax banks"
...So pretty much what I said.

The £160,000 in question is the equity increase in the house from purchase to sale, which the Police removed as per 'proceeds of crime'.

First person ever to go to jail for it wasn't he?

Was the first result on Google, are you saying it is factually incorrect?
So pretty much what I said.
You said he lent his BiL some money and exaggerated his earnings, not to mention that everyone was at it.

The judge said he was an instigator of multiple frauds that needed a significant amount of forward planning. Not quite the same thing in my book.

Guess the the false passport wasn't his fault either, or the assault charges - all a stitch up I am sure

For a man with everybody looking to frame or kill him he doesn't half put himself in silly positions.
As ways of silencing people, locking them up in a high profile case, engendering howls of protest from supporters, before then releasing him to mass media attention ain't exactly the way I'd go about it...

The passport thing is indefensible.

Regardless, the bloke's lived some life and been involved in some mad shit.

I'm anxious for the next episode in the series.

Why? Lets be honest he's just a racist thug whose tried to somehow position himself as a voice of reason.

Incredibly some people seem to swallow it as well

Just curious, what has he said that's racist? People keep regurgitating it but I've never actually heard anything.

Happy to be proved wrong.

I've just heard a clip of him talking to some random American bloke and the other guy was saying it was worse than Guantanamo Bay

No idea who the American is but he sounds like a massive shit stirrer trying to puppeteer Robinson.

How about “I’d send every name Muslim from outside the Eu back today if I could”

“Fuck Islam. Islam is a disease”

What do you think? Liberal or a tad right of Hitler?

Yes, that's right.

There is no way in hell you can say he hasn't tried to be silenced if you have actually read up on him properly. You would be blatantly lying, or just not actually done any research. In the same way those were shooting some of us down when we doubted the legal proceedings, people that have an axe to grind have been shown up again because they are too blinded by hate to be rational (a bit like TR himself with Islam if you like).

I get that people don't like him, that's fine. As usual though, we are seeing extremely biased debate with zero reasoning.

The reasoning being that he was on a suspended sentence and has admitted to committing the same crime as he had the first sentence.

Which means if I did that, I would be banged up. So, I hope his sentence is confirmed.

Even it were not Tommy Robinson, he would go to jail. That is rational.

How about Tommy on the appointment of Sadiq Khan (a publicity seeking useless individual I must say) - Tommy seems not to interested in Mr khans views but his ethnicity describing it as another nail in the coffin of our once glorious land.

Not exactly a tree hugging liberal who embraces everyone is he?

In the end he’s ironically the same type of character as Abu Hamsa - a rabble rouser who incites others to commit violence while staying out of it himself.

There is no difference between the two. Anyone who believes either of them are a voice are equally stupid

If the government want to shut him up how have they achieved that by giving him the highest exposure of his life?
His supporters made sure of that. The media were celebrating
point proven, he's been on Newsnight, Good Morning, he spoken at Oxford, he need on LBC, no one is trying to silence him.
Well the authorities certainly do. Forced out of a pub whilst with his kids by dozens of police for no other reason than being TR.. Attacked by 10 cowardly lefties (scum) who also attacked a female and when he confronted his attackers the police wouldn't do anything.

I'd probably usually agree with you but after watching people deepthroat some hysteric propaganda I am starting to wonder.
The biggest joke is if you're at all sympathetic to some of the arguments, feeble playing-the-victim characters like Robinson are a surefire way to ensure the argument is lost! Those who think the world's against them will continue to think so, oblivious to the damage they actually do to themselves and their 'cause'.

It depends what you mean by sympathetic.

Should we get rid of freedom of speech? Or should we only allow freedom of speech to those we want to listen to?

This is where the grey areas do my bloody nut in.

It is said that he left the EDF because he couldn't control the right wing nutters. But does it prove that he isn't racist? I absolutely hate racism. But should racists lose their right to freedom of speech? My heart says yes but my head isn't sure.

Also he was sentenced totally incorrectly. Even an idiot should come to this conclusion. But as we can say many will argue the point. We need to have the same law for everyone. And a fair trial for everyone no matter what the crime is. And consistent sentences for similar crimes. And judges should be removed if they can't show consistency.

But as usual there is always some that want the sentence they would like to see given and forget about consistency.

Imagine what the conspiracy theorists are going to be like when he’s convicted again for a crime he has already plead guilty to...

Honestly so many 'snowflakes' on here you'd think its Christmas.

Funnily enough... when something happens to this backbone of Britain there are snowflakes crying about the poor TR victim.

He’s a crook, thug and a populist. And a useful idiot for the American alt right trying to influence politics in Europe.

He‘s out ( for now ), get over it.

Didn’t his defence team wait until the appeal to bring some complaint up, knowing it would help their case? What was the remark..? Oh, I know.. „ not illegal, but not in the spirit of the law“. Here it is smart, but elsewhere it is outrage.

He never got a chance to defend himself first time round, off the street, charged, in court and sentenced within 6 hours. Madness.
