Is he still doin bargin hunt ?This David Deakin seems to be saying we are in talks to bring this guy in. Not sure how credible he is based on his scaremongering about Bayliss being sold.

Not too sure where he would fit in.
Would be suicidal to even think about playing him with Sterling behind as well.
He can play as a winger which is a position we are short of. Bayliss and Shipley aren't wingers, Jones isn't fit and Allassani doesn't look ready yet. If it means we don't have to keep playing Hiwula wide it's a good thing. Can't understand for the life of me why we would be interested in this guy, is he any better than Baliss, Shipley, Allisani, or Jones. Some of Robins's transfer activity of late is baffling to say the least.
Plus Le Shark and "original" Farah, m8.Is he from Deakins in Coventry market who used to sell "stay press" trousers and ski jumpers?
Farah that we’re seconds and one leg was longer than the other and often had the label cut.Plus Le Shark and "original" Farah, m8.
We at The Woodlands had perfect fit and the label...Ha haFarah that we’re seconds and one leg was longer than the other and often had the label cut.
Good old 80s Ullathorne clobber lol!
The difference here is that his main position is winger, having watched the first two league games we are crying out for someone that is comfortable out wide.He can play wide!!!! So can Shipley, Bayliss, Allassani and Jones but that does not mean they are wide player's. Too many sq pegs in round whole's so far in the games played. Lets hope it settles down and players start to bond and understand roles within the team. No need to panic yet, but concern's about players brought in and how they are fitting into MR plans or system.
Couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread but... ...no we don't need a winger FFS, we actually need someone to be get into the box and tuck the ball into the onion bag !
Bayliss needs to play in the middle, I don't think we'll hold on to him too long if he keeps getting chucked out wide.wingers is just what we need
let the strikers play upfront.
allasani,thomas,jones pacey wingers
bayliss,shipley inverted wingers
bases covered
Hiwula and Bakayoko are more suited to playing out wide it seems than up top, Biamou works hard but is unlikely to ever be prolific, I agree the midfield needs to be more productive but isn't that what Andreu and Bayliss in there for ?..........we need a predator in the box.We need somebody to get the ball near the box first.

From what I've seen of Hiwula he would definitely be better up top. I thought he was brought in to play central, maybe he is playing wide till he can do a bit more training with the squad & get used to the system. From what I've seen of Hiwula he would definitely be better up top. Wasted out wide.

Is that why Robins has said Hiwulu is playing out of position on the left? He’s a striker & is out of position at the minute & obviously looks out of place there too.
Which begs the question: why the hell did we sign him?
If that's the answer then why did we sign Bakayoko and JCH?To play as a striker once our wide players are fit. At the minute, MR obviously feels we’ve not got any natural players to play there. Adds to the reason why he’s looking at possibly getting this lad on loan? Jones will be back in the next few weeks. He’s doing it as a stop gap.
I'm not quite sure what's going on then with either the recruitment or team selection. Time will tell and lets hope we start looking like winning a game on Saturday and scoring some goals from open play.

But we only play one up front. It's fair enough having different type of strikers but we have 4 strikers at the moment, three similar and if we get wingers in then some of them are going to be pissed off at a lack of game time. They’re different type of strikers? The are your more strong, athletic types, where as Hiluwu is more like McNulty

Competition is two players per position not 5/6 for 1. Players who are breaking into the team should force themselves through the pack, just as Bayliss did last year. When you buy someone you rely on your scouting ability and nous to pick the player you want and trust in them if it doesn't stick not buy loads and hope one comes good.MR says he’s waiting for one to come out of the pack, to make themselves the undroppable player McNulty was. If you only have one type of striker, you are making it very easy to defend against. Whose to say we won’t go two up top? It’s a long season & in a team, you want competition - at the minute, not many players can complain about being dropped or left out.
