There wasn’t a player in a blue shirt within 20 yards of him.
I know. But he should have been stronger, he was in the perfect position between man and ball, but it was too easy for the defender. I'd be expect winning a throw in out of that situation as a minimum. He's a big lad, he needs to believe in it and use his size, like Best did in that last season, and actually Jukebox was superb at that too.

Should have put the defender in the stand just with a shoulder barge

We are so deep it's inviting them on to us. And we can't seem to get the ball off them when they have it.
They are pressing us quickly and very high, making us rush. They seem to have acres of room when in possession.

JCH constantly being out-muscled but he's constantly so isolated.

I suspect his flaw is he gets demotivated and will even more now when Thomas should have played him in for a goal

We've got Thomas who is an outlet who can out pace anyone and we refuse to play towards him. What's the actual game plan

As much as I like Thomas as a threat against most in this division, I get the feeling he's not really embedded in our philosophy and really only wants to shine for himself. Just my opinion over the last few games. I hope Robins doesn't allow this from a loan player.

What I don't understand is if we're going to insist on the hoof and hope approach, why haven't we got two players pressing the defence? Surely you need one to win the knock on and another one to get on to it. That's the whole point of the long ball, isn't it?
