Where's Spurs invite??

Says Arsenal, Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea.

No relegation either. Always think that when you have no promotion and relegation it devalues the whole competition.

Yeah, same here I think. That would then leave the Premier League wide open.

Be great if the likes of Southampton and Burnley and Fulham and Crystal Palace could win the league.

And the City too of course.

Can’t see it happening

I think this idea is a negotiating stance to make UEFA change the format of the 'Champions League' so the bigger clubs can play each other more often and reap the rewards. Purely selfish.

Yeah, the way I read it too.

More interested in change to the existing format rather than starting up a new super league.

A super league would be great only one team can win it so a lot of these fans that are used to winning leagues never will again. How exciting for the team who. finishes bottom

I think if they did this and left the FA that none of their players should be able to get called up for international teams either. Just franchise bollocks football and wrong.

They wouldn’t be able to and that’s the point. It would be a Kerry Packer style operation doomed to fail without official backing

You would hope not but I wouldn’t be suprised to be honest. Balance of power sits with these teams and whilst English teams wouldn’t benefit as mich as the others, they would still benefit

I honestly support the idea, all the plastics can follow the super league and the rest might return to something more like reality.
The issue is the money potentially cut over night from English football to this league. Could spell serious trouble for the ‘stayers’

And a levelling of the playing field as teams like Burnley’s savings won’t last forever

I think it will happen, maybe not soon, but eventually.

Yeah fuck 'em, let them go. They're more consumer brands than town or city representative football clubs now anyway.
Agree. Selfish attitude of clubs benefitting from big money at this point in time. Other snapshots in time and we would be looking at different clubs.
