Think a few have been harsh on Shipley. Not been impressed with him this season but did a job today. Anything below a 6 is basing it on his previous performances, not today, in my opinion

As many know I am one of his biggest critics but even I accept today he played well

Everybody at least a 7 today. Kelly 9 JCH 8.5 for a fantastic display off the bench

Willis 7 Good enough performance but not really tested to extreme.
Hyam 8 Best player for me-really composed/assured. Not sure he lost a header all day!
Sterling 8 Another quality showing.
Kelly 8 Carried on where he left off last game-hope the injury isn’t too bad.
Bayliss 7 Improvement again and great assist.
Thomas 7 Dangerous but final ball slightly lacking still as we know.
Shipley 7 Much better today from him.
Chaplin 6 Reasonable and hope the goal now gives him some much needed confidence.
Hiwula 5 One good run where he set up Chaplin but struggled to get into the game today before going off.

The bloke sat next to me (who was with his small 5 or 6 year old son) yelled at him that he was an f**king t**t during the first half because he punched the ball rather than catching it. The same bloke shouted abuse at Shipley whenever he had the ball. Why do people like this even go?
