I see that the pound has rallied to a 21 month high today off the back of the news that the chances are that Brexit will be delayed. Typically I ordered some Euro’s yesterday.

I believe that as I read it years ago. I can’t find it on the net. There are so many books on the subject.
Without a direct quote, there are three options based on what they did in other countries. In some cases they summarily shot their opponents‘ leaders, others they put them on trial ( France ) or they imprisoned them. The UK had bombed hundreds of thousands of citizens and this was counted as a war crime. RAF survivors of a raid on Mannheim were summarily executed on a square in Mannheim for war crimes.
There are books published after the war which argue that the bombing of German civilians is a war crime The allies weren’t tried or convicted because they won.
Had the Germans won, they wouldn’t have been prosecuted for their crimes. Obviously for most people. They would have prosecuted the British leaders or shot them depending on the situation. They were good at show trials with the Nazi judges screaming at the accused.
I have absolutely no idea where the post is. What I do know is that I posted the same thing several times.
I have no idea why you think that the enemy wouldn’t see Churchill differently to the UK population.
Anyway... a group of Germans from Kiel are coming on an exchange visit to Coventry in September to keep the city partnership alive, continue the work on reconciliation started after the war, create new relationships and friendships between Germans and British and to enjoy the hospitality of both sides of the exchange.
They are a good example of creating opportunities for peace and cooperation.
Compared to your rants and your rage against anything remotely German, and Grendel‘s 4th Reich accusations, they are a positive example of what people can do for peace.
You, and many Brexiters, live in a wartime timewarp constantly bringing up the war or wartime expressions.
As now trying to whitewash a wartime leader. I accept both sides of Churchill as a fact. I would neither deny the good, nor the bad.

If you really want an online source Alfred Rosenberg wrote a piece called ‘Churchill the War Criminal’ in 1944. An influential Nazi propagandist. There are also many pieces calling him a puppet of the Jews-you think they’d have let him go free?
They were going to try him ( or maybe shoot him), as a war criminal. There are plenty of books around. Not every page of every book is on google. But, Brighton has given you an example. I don’t know what you are trying to prove or why.

I told you I read that Hitler said Churchill was a war criminal. I cannot go through all the books that I have ever read on the subject since my school days. It would be easier if you found a quote saying that Hitler would not have tried Churchill, or better still, that Hitler didn’t think Churchill was a war criminal.
The Germans said he was at the time, as Brighton says, and the latest book I know about detailing allied bombing as a war crime, came out just before the reconciliation at the reconsecrating service at the Dresdener Frauenkirche. What are you trying to say? That the Germans, especially the Nazis, didn’t see Churchill as a war criminal and would not have tried him or executed him for war crimes?

Hitler wasn’t the only Nazi to say that Churchill was a war criminal. There is a whole book of Hitler and Churchill quotes. Buy the book if you are interested, but don’t accuse me of lying.
