EFL Stadium Vote (19 Viewers)

I am opposed to a groundshare outside of coventry as an alternative to being expelled.

i.e. I'd rather be kicked out of the league than play outside the city.

It could be worded better but it's hardly the dead sea scrolls.

Irony of it all is that if that was what happened we'd probably just groundshare outside the city anyway but in non league.
Coventry area. It doesn't say anywhere outside of the City. They must have included the word 'area' for a reason.

But Rugby isn't the Coventry area, its the Rugby area.
It's more the Coventry area than somewhere 50 miles away.

If you're reading 'Coventry area' as being the same as just Coventry, then you're right. I just think they mean somewhere wider than just the City boundaries.

That's not the option, else it would say "ground share in the Coventry area" to choose.

Wonder where we would play if we did get expelled?

Plus, what would happen to the Academy 2 rating also?

Would still need a ground share, just outside the football League so guess it would give more options.

Exactly.
So we'll still be ground sharing regardless of League (or Ricoh, where we're fuckin sharing anyway).

Was talking to someone yesterday who said and was serious what about playing all our games away from home !! I laughed. But then faced with all the scenarios we have it’s another option I suppose and better than expulsion.

I read it as saying it's a vote for a more local ground share. It's the best option if a Ricoh deal can't be done.
No other doesn't. These are all last ditch options.
A) Ground share up to 50 miles away unconditional.
B) Ground share upto 50 miles away conditional on plan to return.
C) If no local groundshare can be agreed you would rather we are expelled from the league than have the club move from the Coventry area next season.

It's also saying if we can't find a ground within 50 miles we'll be expelled, so it's asking for your favoured approach. My favoured approach is a ground share in the Coventry area (undefined). Just because you have a favoured approach it doesn't mean the others wouldn't be considered acceptable, and surely no one actually believes the EFL will only put into action the winning survey result.

That isn't an option though? Effectively people are voting for expulsion...

I doubt people are voting in such numbers for an expulsion, maybe they just favour the option of a local ground share rather than one further away.

That isn't one of the options, they are voting for expulsion.

As a last resort and if all other logical options are exhausted that's a pretty sound idea actually in short term. Not exactly great for fans but better than the worst case scenario. With our away record that would be the longest of all long seasons though!!!

Yeah I feel the same, I wish you could read it properly, but hey ho, let's move on.

Has ferric oxide entered your brain as well as your instrument. What are you on about?

Reads to me as if Tim Fisher has put this survey together. 50 miles? I'm sure he will be very happy if a majority agree a move of up to 50 miles away.

It’s actually quite worrying that people are voting for option C — particularly if it is because the (deliberately misleading) question is being misunderstood.

If you combine the ‘anything to get one over on Sisu’ brigade with the ‘don’t understand the question’ brigade we’re probably around the 60% figure seen in the telegraph poll.

Given that a 3 year return isn’t going to happen, in actual fact options B and C are both a vote for expulsion. It even says that on the form.

We’re fucked.

People are voting for the EFL to threaten Sisu with expulsion in the hope it forces them to deal. You know this. You know 60% of fans don’t want the club expelled.

No, they are voting for expulsion. Whether they just want the threat or not.

OK.

If you honestly believe 60% of fans want the club expelled from the league I can’t help you.

It is obviously me who isn't needing help, I'm not voting for it or calling for it.

I've also posted examples earlier on in the thread of people who know full well what it means.

its like Brexit. it doesn't matter what people vote for. the EFL and the club owners will do what they want
