This is a picture of a current League 1 clubs away 'stand'.

I think this picture in itself highlights how low we will have fallen if we go down.

Most of us want to stand so where is the hardship?

Lots of terraces, new away grounds, proper football grounds, we'll be the biggest team in the league. Awaydays are going to be the only highlight of relegation.

Be warned, we said this about relegation from the premiership - how it would be great to finally be at the top of the league, visit new grounds etc and look what happened. We had a chance to get back, I seem to recall us beating Man City 4-3 at HR and being 2nd. We still had some good players but Strachan fooked it up.

I really hope that the third tier is too low for a club our size for more than a couple of seasons and the evidence of Leeds, Man City, Forest, Leicester, Norwich, Charlton, Sheff Wed and Sheff Utd does seem to bear that out. I hope so!

That is the upside of relegation:
AWESOME AWAY DAYS!
No-one knows the grounds, we can all have a jolly good laugh, and maybe see the sky blues bang in a few goals and maybe win some games away from home!
That is the one thing that I am looking forward to, and I would imagine that away games would cost less than a home game...
Anyone coming to walsall with me?
But, oh my, should crawley get promoted to L1, how embarrasing would it be to play them... Coventry city(FA Cup winners 87', long lasting EPL Club) vs Crawley town(Were in the conference in 2010/11.....)

Still can't see us winning many of these awaydays though. By the way what the hell is the "EPL"?

Anyone else getting deja vu with the way some people are talking about relegation? Coming down from the Prem I was naive enough to think we'd go straight back up. Couldn't have been much further away from the truth. We'll be the big fish to shoot at for the other sides in the league and we won't have the squad to deal with it. It could be just as hard a slog as the Championship has been.

I agree to an extent. However...

Isn't there a much larger gap between the Premiership and the Championship League than the gap between Championship and League 1? :thinking about:

*That's my opinion after having watched no League 1 football for at least 2 years!

To be fair Exeter are rebuilding their ground as "it is not up to league 1 standard" so its not really a fair assessment.

Besides, nice place good weather and an easy 3 points, with Richard Duffy holding the backline together lol :p
