What about allassani ? Anyone think he could come back into the fold or will robins release him ? For me i think he will leave.
He has done the Job for Woking since being there - scored some important goals, contributing to them being in the play off final this weekend

That's National League South though, world's away from League One.

Didn't know Torquay were in that league last year! Not so long ago they were a league club.

Really would you drop your wages.
Stop pretending it's a normal Job. If your absolute passion was stacking shelves but the career was only 10 years long would you take £15 an hour to sit on the tills at Tesco or £10 an hour and get to stack down the corner shop. Some of these players know they only have a couple of years left and want to play while they can.

He’s not finished, far from it, at least I sincerely hope not.
As much as having two serious injuries on the same knee is doubtless going to affect him, psychologically more than anything (and being out for so long) he can come back from it.

Women’s FA cup final the other day was a girl playing who has recovered from 3 x ACL injuries.
Duncan Watmore had two ACL's on the same knee
Andy Williams, the surgeon who did JJ's second op also did Watmore's
Watmore was making a good recovery and doing well until a couple of months back when a Wycombe defender got a straight red for a horrible hack at his ankle
It was unrelated to his knee injury but meant a further period out
He's hopeful of making the play off games as he's apparently now back in training

The Sun reporting Liverpool and Everton after Bayliss, and he has a £3mill release clause.

I don’t believe there is any truth in that but if there was, would a release clause prevent us from getting any future add ons? Wouldn’t be a great deal for us if so.

Yes they want to play but you are saying someone like Stockdale should go from 30,000 a week to 5,000 a week.
We are talking £100s per hour not a poxy£5.00

BTW I am one of those that took a cut of £10.00 an hour to have a easier stressless job but I am 56 and can afford too.

So you mean similar to Joe Cole - who just wanted to play?

Footballers are humans, they will evaluate their next Club based on their current circumstances, personal and professional.

I think it would be wrong to rule out that someone like Stockdale would join CCFC, but at the same time it's not impossible as Joe Cole proved.

Stockdale is someone who’s had a long career and earned a lot of money so I imagine he probably would step down for an opportunity before he retires. A lot of footballs mention how not playing, being forced to train with reserve/youth teams impacts their mental wellbeing.

It’s not all about the money, football isn’t just a pay cheque for footballers, it’s their hobby, their job and they want to go out and play.

Do we really seriously think that Stockdale has been on 30k per week???

Probably the most likely is similar to Bigi and Joe Cole where Newcastle and Villa did deals to pay up part of their contracts to allow them to join us on wages we could afford

I was told the issue at Brum isn’t wages but rather that if he plays another game for them he triggers a substantial payment to both himself and Brighton. Don’t dispute that he’s on a fair whack though.

That was complete rubbish. He came out publicly and denied that online.

Got a link?

Edit: Saw it now where he denies having a bonus after 37 games. Weird as he’d played 39 but I guess we’ll have to take his word. He also said he’s not on £40k a week.
