Seppala Interview on Sky Sports News (10 Viewers)

Joking aside from my earlier post...

I honestly wish Joy Sepella spoke earlier and a lot more regular to the fans during SISU's tenure. Already I feel a better connection, even with a three minute video
We may not always like what we hear but we would much rather that than faceless owners.

It sounds like a portion of our fans have been complete and utter arseholes attacking her home, that is simply disgusting.

I feel for SISU a little as they have been shafted by both CCC and Wasps, however they cannot be excused for being poor owners overall.

Perhaps this is a chance for them to redeem themselves. Back Robins, get back to the Championship and possibly sell up and you can say that will suit all parties. The sticking point is obviously the stadium and unfortunately with either Wasps or SISU as they are now I can't see us back at the Ricoh unless Wasps are really fucking desperate.

This could get very interesting, there's more that meets the eye to this interview.

Just to point out, nobody knows if she has been attacked at home. That also sounds a bit more drastic than if somebody had protested her at her house. There are documents to show encouragement to people to go to her house though like she said.

Dont start feeling sorry for anybody, they are all cunts.

She came across as a very credible person.

Does that mean deep down she is Disingenuous or well meaning I can't tell for 100%. All I know is if SISU had been better with fans PR from the outset, far more fans would not have the blind hatred for them they do.

I have noticed many more are now realising how hard the Council shafted their local club. But I know for some the damage has been done.
She is as credible as our new stadium that was finished 3 years ago

People threatening her family and what not are a disgrace...
In fairness...if these people broke in - who were they? What action was taken? Why weren't the police called? If they were...what did they do/say about it? Many questions arise from this comment - we shouldn't suddenly get emotional or glibly accept such statements from what even a judge (can't recall the exact words but...)has suggested is an unreliable source. After-all she has shown little or no concern for people & families in the organisations she has ruined along the way to gaining her substantial wealth.

Obviously if any city fan has targeted her by breaking into her home &/or intimidating her/her family directly...that is entirely unacceptable to me & they deserve any punishment they get from the authorities.

I just find it very odd that after all these years & all the shit we have suffered without comment - she suddenly appears as if by magic to present some kind of 'poor me' stuff.

SISU, Wasps and CCC are equally culpable as to where we are now. But you must surely sympathise with SISU as to how Wasps and CCC have behaved with regards to the Ricoh deal?

The breaking in part is a bit suspicious. Where she lives you can’t access the square? Can’t see some CCFC loon waltzing in.

I know all of them must take share of the blame, I have been saying that for years.

I have also said for years that her / SISU's communication is absolutely dog shit.

Yep, agree with all that.

Let's see what happens after the rest of the interview, I suspect there is something else otherwise why start showing your face now?

Hoffmans agenda seems strange tbh. Aspires to be a Ed Woodward banker turned football supremo.

They way he has gone public to respond to Joy clearly stating Wasps tried to by CCFC, does indicate a fetish for drama and attention.

He was asked a question and replied. Where is the fetish for drama and attention?

I have to say, as someone who is accused of being pro sisu, I am surprised to see people expressing sympathy for them.

I have long been of the opinion that this shit show isn't all down to them but sympathy, no chance, fuck 'em.
They came looking to make a quick buck and it's bit them on the arse.
They should have asked me about the council when they first came, I'd have put them straight on what a bunch of cunts they are, they always have been.

This whole issue escalated when they fucked off to Northampton. Their reasonings I agreed with, the way that whole thing went down though was madness

I was just talking about the general bile thrown at her by letter/social media.

I don't agree with the Northampton move, but correct me if I'm wrong:

If we didn't move would we still be paying circa £1.3m a season for next to nothing? Didn't we only pay £100k pa when we returned to the Ricoh in 2014?

Fisher/Wagott apparently had negotiated a much lower rent circa 400k? and had shook hands on it, but joy went back on it and refused to sign.
I believe the 100k pa is for use of the stadium on matchdays only, and not renting the stadium 24/7

I mean the rent strike was ongoing at that point. They just upped sticks and left.

There was no further negotiation, other than the agreed 400k

I always thought they should have carried it on until the council either relented or kicked them out. Totally different situation when you’re kicked out - I’d imagine they’d have had more follow to Northampton

Like Che Guevara, but thought he’d just see if a revolution happened?

Does that make Simon Gilbert the Fidel Castro in all of this - using the money from one organisation to assemble a movement only to switch sides and join the counter-revolution at the opportune time?

The £1.3 million was also for use of the stadium on matchdays only. Aside from the retail unit, pre-Northampton all that £1.3 million bought us was use of the facilities for 150 hours a year. They also had the gall to charge us business rates on the basis we were using all of the facilties, all of the time. Although, the council were forced to pay back us back this money. We were being fleeced at that time.

A bit more info on SISU, not sure if anyone has posted this before, but it's the first time I've seen it.

Britain's biggest private companies: Finance at its very highest

"8 Sisu Capital
£17m

Hedge fund Sisu Capital bid for several debt-ridden football clubs, before saving Coventry City FC from administration this year.

The mysterious Mayfair fund, co-founded by traders Joy Seppala and Dermot Coleman, made pre-tax profits of £17m last year, primarily by buying up bad debt.

The fund often resorts to hard-ball courtroom tactics to get what it wants.

Sisu's glamorous Finnish-American chief executive, Ms Seppala, has been described as one of the stock market's boldest traders. Indeed, Sisu means "inner fortitude, strength and guts" in Finnish.

The fund blocked a £381.5m refinancing deal for troubled hotel chain Welcome Break in 2004, securing full pay-outs for creditors. But Ms Seppala was censured by a High Court judge in 2006 when Sisu's bid for a better deal from debt-ridden power company TXU Europe failed."

I do believe Sepalla saw the numbers and Wembley and does honestly think this club can progress much further than previously anticipated. She can see the money signs of the championship.

We have never had the stadium 24/7.

Does she? You only have to look at the money being spent in the Championship even by the lesser teams to realise that promotion isn’t all roses. The Championship in 2011/12 is a different kettle of fish to what it is now.

I would like to see a Poll to see what peoples opinions are of the Joy Seppala interview. I don't know how to do one or what questions to ask. Anyone care to do a Poll ?
