I understand he’s going to be used at right back. I just think if he has spare cash he might go for a proper right back ie) the lad from Orient

Not sure what the point would be, would be like Grimmer again sat on the bench all season.

Literally, we have 2 capable right backs like promotion season in grimmer and willis just because they can play in a diffrent position means nothing, like hiwalu I wouldn't class him as a striker and I wouldn't class him as a winger his a bit of both and plays both.

But plays right back, as he has in the friendlys so we still have 2 right backs. Like promotion season we only had grimmer who was a right back but willis was always there as a back up.

Just a thought as we were linked with a right back? We have two left backs and 6 centre halves so?

You reference the promotion season when we had Dion Kelly Evans. It’s common to have two specialist right backs

Could he play for both of us one week with Brum and the next week for us like a ground share but a player share?

That's an idea. We don't buy him, Brum don't buy him, St Andrews buys him. He then has to play for whichever team is playing at St Andrews

Ofcourse if we moved back we'd be screwed.

If he goes brum he goes brum I would be satisfied with bayliss playing number 10, it would be nice to see some flare in midfield but if not enobakahare who?

Pity if we miss out was hoping we would get bright the type of player that gets bums of seats

Don’t sound good that

Doesn’t sound in the know either. Some randomer Brum fan who hardly seems to have been prescient before. Why would we treat this any differently to Covbible or any of the frequent “heard off a mate” accounts that we frequently see.

Let’s wait and see.

I liked Bright but if this Brum thing is for real so be it if that happens I’d rather replace Chaplin with Walker hopefully and get another striker in a big fucker to lead the line and knock a few centre halves about

And the Walker thing.... CT now reporting it is a loan but if and only if, Forest secure their preferred striker targets first. That’s worrying if true as we will probably end up kicking off the season without players that we hope to bring in on loan before the close of the loan window.

Sounds a bit like last years Chaplin farce

Yep, an absolute regression. Christ knows where this "good business" bollocks talked on here comes from.

It's a carbon copy of the Chaplin scenario last season - having to wait on a club bringing in a replacement before they can release their player. Dangerous game to play.

Maybe we have one pretty much sorted we just don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes end of the day if we’ve been offered £1m for a player who’s asked to leave who didn’t set the world alight last season we would of been foolish not to have taken it.

We would've been, because there's no sense in retaining an unhappy player. Still doesn't change the fact that it's risky waiting on another club to sort their transfer business before we can complete ours.

Agreed but on this occasion I think our hand was slightly forced pre season tours now coming to an end this is when teams add their final piece to the jigsaw no doubt Robins will bring in a quality striker.

I'm sure things will be sorted. We just have to hope that Forest secure their targets, otherwise it could be a long window for us.

It's ridiculous that we are the team who sell ourselves short for other clubs benefit, when we should be sorting ourselves out and after Robin's said INS before OUTS I thought we would have learnt from last year.
I would rather us get a permanent signing in than a loan.

We have made a trading profit on a player who is at best not suitable to our way of playing, and at worst an overpriced dud. Finding the right striker is really difficult, so if you can move them through so much the better. He was never going to do 10 goals a season
