I went Mildly negative first, as they are here now whether we like it or not, and will have to deal with them if we want CCFC back at the Ricoh. Otherwise it would have been very negative...

Giving it more thought, I should have voted very negative, so changed it.

When they have pissed off in the next couple of years we should have one heck of a party outside the council house.

They’ll be gone- there skint and the noose tightens every day and next season will be even worse.

By locking us out they’ve proved themselves to be at least an equal threat to CCFC as SISU CCC.Personally I want them gone as much as I want SISU gone even if they open the door again. They’ve burned all bridges as far as I’m concerned.
Fixed for ya.

This is my post from "Who to target"...
Apt to explain my "very negative" vote on this thread...:

Wasps 100%
It is WASPS who "own" the ground.*
It is WASPS who said they would do a deal if no legals vs them.*
It is WASPS who moved the goalposts when a deal was signed to say there would be no more legals vs them.*
It is WASPS who are putting crippling demands on an apparent deal that could allow CCFC back home into it's own city.*
It is WASPS who got into bed with our council who are looking more and more crooked by the day.

* all backed/leaned on by our own council who again, as time goes by seem to be panicking about something in the background.
*Council are effectively a 3rd party who should not be getting involved in a deal or even making statements...but obviously are making statements and are worried about something...
But as WASPS are the stakeholders and are looking like fronting the the whole shebang at the whim of the council,
IT HAS TO BE WASPS!!!!!!
(They have the power to do any deal they want... the council do not)
WASPS SHOULD NOT BE HERE!

My current view is the same as my view on the day it was even suggested they were moving here:

They do not belong here and shouldn't be here.

The only parties to blame for them being here are Wasps themselves and the former shareholders of Arena Coventry Limited i.e. the Higgs 'charity' and the Council.

Looking back at the time, so many thought it would be great and they couldn't understand how it may impact CCFC.

PWKH and the Higgs do tend to get away with it a lot now they are out of the picture so to speak.

How can you see who has voted what?
You click the number of votes on the poll after you've voted and it shows you.

Neutral for me. Bigger things in life to worry about. I get that CCFC is peoples passion, it's never been that for me and never will be. Equally I'll never get worked up by Wasps being at the Ricoh, nor wound up if I see someone wearing their shirt in Cov. It genuinely baffles me that people can get so worked up over it.

That is the point though. If you love your football club, however illogical that may be, you will be dead against any entity that is going to damage it. Wasps being here, taking over the stadium that was built for us and now kicking us out of that stadium are a huge threat. Anyone who is a ‘traditional’ football fan will very much see the parallels between MK Dons and Wasps and will hate what they have done (deserting their traditional fan base). Any local wearing Wasps paraphernalia is very unlikely to have any natural affinity with them as a sports club. The feeling I have and that most on here would probably agree with is that if you were a rugby fan and wanted to see live action then support Cov and help them grow to a top class level.
Not having a go at you but if City are not your passion, why would you bother being on here?

All negative.
The obvious impact on us.
The potential impact on CRFC.
The shortchanging of the ratepayer if that holds up.

Why would I bother being on here? I'm here because I follow the club and like to know how we've played at away games / who we've bought or sold / when Bright might finally sign and to see who Grendal is going to have as his next boo boy...

Are CCFC my passion? Absolutely not. I've spent £1000's following them for the last 10 years because it gave me the chance to spend time with family and friends watching a sport I enjoy watching (not the Andy Thorn years) and having a laugh and a few beers along the way. The fact that won't happen next year because I've chosen not to go to SA is a bit shit, but I'll just find something else to do whilst looking out for our result.

As for Wasps, Wasps being here is a product of our owners playing a very risky game and losing; and the council failing equally at protecting the fans of CCFC in whatever deal they did to protect the asset that they owned.

Do I blame Wasps for taking the opportunity to buy a state of the art stadium when given the opportunity, nope I don't. I do however wish that our council and our owners had sat around the table long before Wasps bought the Ricoh and thrashed out a deal that would always protect the club rather than play the game of cat and mouse, but hindsight is a very wonderful thing.

I don't care but they should not have been given/sold the Ricoh. If there were to come it should have been as tennants playing second fiddle to CCFC or made to build their own ground.

The result on this one is genuinely surprising

Trying to compose this message without every word being an expletive was very difficult.

Wasn’t their fault that CCC sold the ground built for the football club to them.

But the underhand way that they have systematically and snidely pushed CCFC out of the Ricoh is a scandal.

How CCC idly stood by and let it happen is equally abhorrent.

Don’t want to ever play at the Ricoh again.

It’s not our stadium.

I want WASPS to be relegated and to slip away as anonymously as they slipped into Coventry.

I guess regardless of your view on whether you explicitly blame them for the Ricoh situation, Wasps being here has had a hugely negative impact on CCFC, and that's true regardless of which side of the fence you sit. Despite everything that SISU have done over the years, the single most damaging act, the thing that has done the most long term harm to the football club, was the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps, so it's hard to answer this question any other way.

I agree with the comments about Sisu. I am certainly no fan of them. Wasps simply should not be here. They belong to the community that helped to form them. Their roots are in the south east and 5hat is where they should play. Franchise clubs should not exist in either football code.
