Sample selection is about more than size. This place is self selecting both in terms of people that stick around for the Nick and Grendel show and in terms of who decides to click on the poll. That’s before you get to the fact that this place is seen by many as extremely biased and anti Coventry/Trust. Facebook is far less self selecting, though still not ideal. And AFAIK the Trust have surveyed their members which is more than 1k. At least they did when I was a member, I assume they still do.

I’ve got to say, I’d be surprised if the relatively niche views held by the faithful here were represented widely, if for no other reason than only this place gives you that particular media diet. Look at the hate anything that isn’t 100% the party line of “it’s all CCCs fault and Wasps are scum” gets, regardless of its source.

Any poll written by an amateur and left to self select is worthless. Like a Twitter poll.

You never take personal responsibility for your own failings it’s always your Achilles heel

Still waiting for the hate.

I think that is the opinion of most people isn't it? All 3 parties have contributed, most sane people can see that. There aren't many who think Sisu are blameless (I can only think of one on here). There aren't many who think the council and/or Wasps are blameless. The people that hold those views tend to be in the noisy minority, like with anything else in life.

CW follows your council and sky blues trust father

In the end you really are a typical example of an entitled society - “my daughter lives in foleshill and has not seen a single tree” - then take personal responsibility and do something about it.

I am not responsible for your failings in life and for the colossal chips on both shoulders - take responsibility - everyone in life has equal opportunity

Everybody is born equal but some are born more equal than others !!

I think what you mean is this place is seen as extremely biased by anyone who struggles to blame parties beyond SISU for our plight.

In itself of course, that's a meaningless statement. Whatever the argument about how representative it is, there are a significant proportion of dIe hard city fans here, many of whom joined the trust.

Their opinions are valid, you could debate all day what proportion of the greater fan base hold similar opinions but neither you nor I has any evidence to support it.

What's indisputable is the concern shown by these people. To dismiss it as worthless is actually a reflection of your own bias.

That's shown again in your assumption that the trust survey their members; you castigate the poll for being a small unrepresentative sample but would have us accept your opinion based entirely on your own admittedly limited knowledge.

So when was the last time the Trust troubled itself to survey members on their opinions? I am a member of the trust and I'm not aware of it happening recently, nor it would seem, are other members here. Is that bias, or fact?

Where do you want to start with all of your inaccuracies?

Maybe I have missed the Trust surveying members, I have seen multiple polls with votes that far exceed the the attendance of trust meetings that all seem to say they don't feel represented by them.

Sadly you are one of the most biased posters on here to the point you come across as a bit deluded and desperate and make particular things up.

True. But they are also dismissing the GMK Twitter poll which was does the Trust represent you - yes or no.
Think the nos were over 490.

I don't think the Trust can afford to be dismissive of the polls even if as you point out they are flawed.

They can just say they don't count like Neil, schmmeee and Orca seem to be saying.

They all seem quite eager to discredit it all, Neil thought it was "Les or Frank".

Strange really that when you look at it they have some of the strongest bias for things out of city fans.

I've never said they don't count Nick. I've only ever said that Grendel's assertion this site was the largest online community of fans is incorrect.

For what's it's worth, I don't think any survey of fans has any great merit, unless there are parties able or willing to act on its results. I don't see any of the protagonists who could make a difference being willing or able to make a substantive difference to CCFC playing back in Coventry based on a survey. So yes, you can read into that that I don't think they'll count, but not for the reasons you're suggesting.

The surveys are about the Trust aren't they? They are very much able to act on the results.

Yes, but I don't believe they have any power to do anything, much less influence the powers that be. Let's say the survey was wide ranging and a large proportion of respondents favoured action against Wasps. Do you really think it would change Wasps' stance?

No it wouldn't change Wasps stance in the slightest because the Trust wouldn't take the survey on board in the first place as you have already began to demonstrate.

If the media communication was totally opposed to wasps and the march around the city was replicated purely around the stadium yes

Let’s be honest here - the trust have always been influenced by dumb ass tub thumpers like Johnson and have rolled the red carpet out to wasps and Hoffman and his Merry men

If there was direct, hostile action against wasps it would be resolved even if only on another temporary basis very very quickly

It would need to start by changing the Trust's stance to represent the fans.

Don't be fooled, nobody else falls for the strange accounts from people at the council like you and Toughy.

Stop calling anyone with this view a council employee, it's as bad as when people call you a Sisu employee. It invalidates any valid arguments you have.

"Local Government Employee" and "Coventry City Council" is a council employee the last I checked?

Tim Kalns is essentially a council employee - it is a factually accurate statement

As others on here know my full name and have checked my LinkedIn profile, they'll know I don't work for the council. I left the Council's IT department in 1995 or so when it was outsourced. Never had anything to do them since. It is tiresome Nick keeps repeating this and thank you for calling it out.

Yep, there are certain examples who are, those are valid. Calling some randomer on a forum you know little about a council employee or similar is just silly.

And I don't mean just this example, it happens a lot. It's tiresome and up there with people suggesting others are on Sisu payroll (see Les Reid, etc).

I said you fall for stuff from accounts from people at the council along with Toughy and nobody else does.

It's amazing what happens if you skirt around the point.

I read this quote differently Nick.

Read another way, it looks like you're saying I work for them. As I've explained, I don't.

Grendel and I had a very cordial discussion on this privately and I believe he's come to realise the assertion I'm 'falling for something' is incorrect. I actually defended him to one of the accounts you believe is a Council employee and he took on board some of my points about what he'd tweeted about me.

You can also see I used the word "else" as in nobody else falls for it like you 2.

You have said I keep repeating it, please quote the others.

I am glad you 2 have kissed and made up.
