I think now Godden is here it’s showing up how bad he is even more so
I think there’s a chance he will leave loan or transfer wit
The hate for Baka is ridiculous.

Why do our fans always need to have one target to slag off? Even when we're playing well
It’s a Coventry thing, there has to be a boo boy I remember back in JH days a young Bobby Gould getting believe it or not death threats, Dennis Mortimer mercilessly booed, christened Doris, both went on to be great top division players for years then fans wonder why they leave

It also goes the other way too where “one of our own” will get an easy ride or “he’s a nice guy and has time for the fans” is another.

I think we’re to soft on shit players at city. Think we’re worse than Leeds or millwall for example if one of there players isn’t doing it on the pitch week in week out?

And you think we're being too soft on him. What would be the acceptable course of action in your opinion?
Course of action? You a copper by any chance?

Regarding the question this club has by far to long given players who consistently under perform an easy ride. To often players can turn up for this club and give the bare minimum and get a warm round of applause and be done with it. We’re not talking slaughtering a player but letting a player know when to pull there socks more and work harder for the club. That’s all the average jo wants to see. Does Bakayoko work hard in my opinion no he doesn’t. He consistently makes the wrong decision and is weak. I’m not the only one to see this.

No way will he get a new contract.

You're not the most enlightened are you 54321 in terms of motivation for our players? Maybe best to leave the motivation to Robins and the senior pros. If a player doesn't have the required work rate or attitude, I know for a fact that MR will not have that player at the club.

Barracking and booing from the terraces has never worked and ultimately makes the player not want to play for us. It also destroys the morale of the other players when you are basically booing one of their best mates and leads to a divide between the team and the fans. It's poisonous and negative for our club.

Have your opinion but ultimately support the lads on the pitch - we're Coventry City and not fucking Millwall and we're better for it.

What you know about motivating players can obviously fit on a postage stamp. As for that matter could what you know about assessing their effort.

Bakayoko scored a goal last year by literally chasing down and tackling the goalkeeper. A by product of hard work I'd say. The quality is not there with him. Although I don't think he's getting off lightly for the reasons stated by DannyThomas. Did you see the game on Saturday? Baka ran around like a loony when he came on. I'm not a 'copper' by the way.

Yep I’d judge him for other areas of his game but not effort on Saturday

I only saw the highlights but it didn’t seem there were too many protests from the Bristol players?

Yes he ran around until it came to a point where he might have to put his body on the line.

He lacks heart and he lacks desire. The first game you saw him for 10 minutes and then he hid.

He’s paid to perform so this “be positive” mantra is crap. If I went to the RSC and the leading actor forgot his lines and stood and didn’t performed he’d get a panning.

Bakayoko is a dreadful player with no heart and no desire. Save your sympathy for someone who at least will try and give it a go -if we really paid what we allegedly did whoever sanctioned that should go as well

Seriously why don't you fuck off and support someone else? You seem to delight in dismissing our own players and bringing negativity to the place. I 100% trust in Robins to make the right decisions on desire, ability and attitude as he has always shown vs. someone with second rate keyboard opinions. And I will always support the lads on the pitch vs. creating a poisonous attitude between the team and the fans. No one wins that way.

I don't see a player who lacks heart and desire, I just don't see a player up to the standard we need.

The trouble is your criticism is personal, myopic and poisonous. Seriously not sure why you bother supporting our team as you seem to delight so much in dismissing, criticising and targeting certain players. The pattern is very clear as shown by your constant attacks on Biamou. More a reflection of you I would say vs. any of the players in question. We all have opinions on certain players, tactics, and managers without resorting to your levels of dismissive abuse.

How on earth is it personal

He cost apparently £350,000 and the best you can say is he runs around a bit.

If you spend £80 on a fillet steak and a slab of flat iron comes out what do you do - just swallow it?

He’s a waste of money

I agree with some of this Grendel. There is certainly a case to be made that we overpaid for AB given several circumstances (missing out on other targets). These things happen in football - transfers have many moving parts and complexities.

But it seems unfair to me to target AB on the basis of the fee paid - that was hardly his fault.

I personally think AB will play a reduced role for us this season given Godden's arrival. But I still think he can play a part off the bench and we should support him as such - one of the best memories of last season is AB's performance off the bench against Charlton. I certainly don't think that AB has been a disaster for us and I look forward to seeing what he can do off the bench with a point to prove.

I simply can't see the point of so much criticism and accusing a player of lacking heart and desire is deeply personal.

As you say we all have different views as fans but let's try and be even handed?

Agree with Grendel here & I don’t think Baka was a robins signing tbh either he lacks heart & ability for a bloke of that size he should be bullying defenders he’s so timid that attempted header was a shocker Saturday.

Max is ahead of Baka for me & if we get chance to cash in we need to do so.

Bakayoko does work reasonably hard, the issue I think he's got though is his lack of movement in the box, he rarely tries to get in front of a defender. He doesn't deserve some of the criticism he gets.

Correct he’s shite

Not sure what level you've played at Grendel but let me share something with you.

I was pretty talented but never good enough to be a professional. But in various games I've played against professional footballers and I also played many games alongside a very well known ex-Premier league player for a club team.

I personally had no idea at what level these guys played at until I was on the same pitch. Technically, speed of thought, vision and athleticism - these guys are on another planet. It was honestly embarrassing at times to be on the same pitch.

Players don't make it as professionals by being 'shite.' They are absolutely exceptional in what they do. The talent and training required to make it to professional level and the level of competition is unbelievable.

Does that mean that AB is the answer to lead our front 3? Perhaps not. But to call him 'shite' just shows your lack of knowledge as to what it takes to even be considered as a professional footballer.

So I assume by your argument you’d never criticise say Boris Johnson as you’ve never been a MP?
