This isn’t a UK court and who know what an independent investigation will show up against a different set of rules.

Let’s hope sisu have more success in Europe than they have had in U.K. then

As at 21:00 hrs, 80% who have expressed a preference do not want a long term relationship with wasps and the Ricoh, of which 56% would rather stay at St Andrews for 3 to 5 years. I wonder what the CT would make of that.

I was about to post something similar. We need to move on from the Ricoh, it’s not our home and we should have aspirations that are more than playing second fiddle to a franchise rugby club from London.

We really do need our own ground in the long term. 3-5 years in Birmingham would be well worth it if that was the end result. This situation has been coming since the Ricoh was sold.

Can you see anyway that we will have a new stadium in Coventry in 3 to 5 years?

It’s actually really easy. We just indemnify wasps for potential multi million pounds consequences if the eu business comes to anything and put the future viability of the club at even more risk. Job done!

I meant what is stopping Wasps doing a deal without that clause? The legals aren’t going away. All it’s doing is pissing people off.

All well and good, but a survey on here is asking those by and large fully engaged with Ccfc.

Very few posts on here from the thousands who haven’t gone to Birmingham.

Votes on this site are very biased.

I wish people would drop the implication that those not attending in Birmingham are on some sort of protest. I haven't been able to get to a game yet purely because commitments in Cov mean the extra time it takes, as minimal as it is, causes me an issue.

I'm not on a protest and I'm posting on here as much, if not more, than when I was attending matches. I know other people in similar situations who are regular posters.

Well, I haven’t said that at all. I reckon at least 95% of to no gos are not protests. Always said that protest people are very very much in the minority.

Complacency! Lol! I’ll have fucking complacencies all season if it means a successful one!

Every single one of us on here would take a season away from Coventry and a promotion rather than a return to our home city and another season in League One.

ADM it’s being a successful football team that’s taking our eye off the shit situation of playing in Brum that’s a bloody positive!!

And what if we by some slim chance don't get promotion this season and spend 5 years in Birmingham ?
Would you take 10 years ground sharing at Sheffield United, or Middlesbrough, Ipswich or Cardiff city if it meant we got promotion to the premier League ?

No because that wouldn’t happen. We wouldn’t be allowed to groundshare that far away.

ADM I don’t get the point you’re making.

Wherever we play I’m happy to see City and like all fans I’d rather us be successful than not.

I definitely think that a successful City has more chance of returning to Coventry as this puts more pressure on all parties and keeps the spotlight on our plight.

I wonder what Sisu make of that. They have no intention of building a stadium do they????

The figure will never be known. 95% is a very generous number. I reckon it’s not that much, I think there’s far more not going out of choice than those who “can’t” go

Probably more representative than the Sky Blue Trust though.

I agree that success puts pressure on other parties to try and get a return to the Ricoh.
I don't agree that success in Birmingham.(ie promotion) is necessarily better than staying in league 1 at the Ricoh, unless that helps lead to a return to Coventry. Success without any tangible consequence to where the club goes simply let's other parties off the hook because it distracts supporters away from the real issues that belie the club. Promotion to the championship would be a fantastic achievement but the majority of supporters wouldn't go to Birmingham and I cannot see us having a budget to compete in that league unless of course SISU pump in millions in the expectation that the premier League beckons with wasps ready to accept anything SISU offer them . Wishful thinking perhaps.

So if the club fails on the pitch, how does that get us any closer to the Ricoh, knowing that the thing blocking us from returning as tenants at this moment is the stance of Wasps?

Difficult poll. I can’t bring myself to vote for playing at St Andrews for 3-5 years. The quality of the pitch suits our style of play but that aside, I’m someone who isn’t really enjoying the St Andrew’s experience. Distance wise the drive isn’t the worst but has anyone had our experience of crazy driving once you get near St Andrews? We were nearly taken out three times yesterday. It was scary - and our driver is an experienced and very good driver. The seats are thin plastic and there isn’t enough leg room. Really uncomfortable. We’ve moved from our season ticket seats and talked to a few people yesterday who were similarly moving trying to find a more comfortable spot. We actually had a hypothetical conversation yesterday about would you renew next season if still at St Andrews. There was a view of ‘promoted definitely yes, still in League 1 I’d think about it’.

Agree with the general sentiment. Whilst I find St Andrews experience better than the Ricoh (I've never particularly liked the place), there's a bit of a novelty factor at the moment, coupled with the momentum we're seeing on the pitch. The drive there and back can be hateful. I was also very nearly taken out on Saturday, by a car cutting in then braking in an aggressive manner.

More generally, the club can't sustain what we are seeing on the pitch by not being back at the Ricoh.

New ground would be great but I want us to be competing in the Championship. The Ricoh is equipped for us to do that.

However playing second fiddle and on the string to a London rugby team sits almost as uncomfortably to me as playing at St Andrews.

For that reason, it has to be at least part ownership or, ideally, wasps out/renting from us.

Except for the pitch for one thing.

Also assumes that the attendees at each game without season tickets is the exact same every game, i.e. the actual number of different fans who have attended St Andrews is probably higher than the average home gate.

I was nearly rear ended by a bus last week. I hope we never play in Canada
