Berlin was a let down for me. Obviously missed the good places but all the bars I went to were a bit shit. Didn't help that it was minus 15 so everything looked like it was shut up.

Went to Berlin a few years back and didn't rate it at all (for drinking). Plus the entire city smelt like actual turds. Really enjoyed all the history and museums etc though.

I had my stag do in Benidorm and is was brilliant, a total shit hole but I loved it.
We stayed in the old town so we could escape the nonsense for a bit.

Re: the history, it's weird sat in a bar near Bradenburgh gate drinking and fucking about just a short walk from where the Nazis celebrated Hitler coming to power but yeah, for a stag, Spain is spot on, sun and cheap booze.

What could have happened to change him from best man to a stranger?!

He was becoming an alcoholic and it was just too much hard work spending any time socialising with him as it would always involve him drinking 20 pints or more and making an arse of himself. I'm not a huge drinker, half a dozen will do me so I'd get an hour of conversation out of him before he was smashed and then I'd spend the rest of the evening bored shitless. He also get wrecked at my wedding before the meal and had passed out just after!

After all the fucking about, the brides father has stepped in to sort out the stag do (really nice of him, not) and has chosen a weekend in Exeter, very coincidental that it's on the weekend that Worcester Warriors rugby team (who he supports) are playing there.

I echo the Dublin sentiments. I'm there quite often as I have a few friends there and the place will completely rob you. I was charged $8 for a pint the last time I visited and the food is very overpriced. It's also crawling with annoying yanks who have "come home" because their great great grandfather was called Patrick.

Belfast is cheaper and less touristy if you want a similar Irish vibe but a pint in the centre will set you back around £5.

Krackow or Prague in the late summer into early autumn are my choice because the crowds have died down, the beer is cheap and the women are incredibly sexy. The men aren't bad either.
